Saudi Arabia moves to build its AI future with HUMAIN and NVIDIA
Saudi Arabia’s new state subsidiary, HUMAIN, is collaborating with NVIDIA to build AI infrastructure, nurture talent, and launch large-scale digital systems. The effort includes plans to set up AI “factories” powered by up to 500 megawatts of energy. The sites will be filled with NVIDIA GPUs, including the Grace Blackwell GB300 supercomputers connected via NVIDIA’s InfiniBand network. The goal is to create a base for training models, running simulations, and managing complex AI deployments.A major part of the push is about control. Saudi Arabia wants to build sovereign AI – models trained using local data, language, and systems. By building its own infrastructure, it avoids relying on foreign cloud providers. The shift aligns with a broader trend, as governments around the world start to question how AI tools are built, where data goes, and who controls it.HUMAIN is meant to give Saudi Arabia more say in that process. While other countries have launched national AI strategies, HUMAIN stands out for its structure. It’s not just a policy office or research fund; instead, it operates across the full AI value chain – building data centres, managing data, training models, and deploying applications. Few countries have a single body doing likewise with such a broad remit.Singapore’s NAIS 2.0, for example, focuses on public sector use cases and talent development, and the UAE’s approach, which emphasises frameworks and governance. China has set up AI labs in several cities, but they tend to work in silos. HUMAIN brings elements together with a central goal: make Saudi Arabia a producer, not just a user, of AI.The ambition is clear, but it comes with trade-offs. Running GPU-heavy data centres on this scale will use a lot of power. The 500-megawatt figure is far beyond typical enterprise deployments. Globally, the environmental cost of AI has become a growing concern. Microsoft and Google have both reported rising emissions from AI-related infrastructure. Saudi Arabia will need to explain how its AI factories will be powered – especially if it wants to align with its own sustainability targets under Vision 2030.The partnership with NVIDIA isn’t just about machines, it also includes training for people. HUMAIN and NVIDIA say they will run large-scale education programmes to help thousands of Saudi developers gain skills in AI, robotics, simulation, and digital twins. Building local talent is a core part of the effort, and without it, infrastructure likely won’t get used to its full potential.“AI, like electricity and internet, is essential infrastructure for every nation,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “Together with HUMAIN, we are building AI infrastructure for the people and companies of Saudi Arabia to realise the bold vision of the Kingdom.”One of the tools HUMAIN plans to deploy is NVIDIA Omniverse, to be used as a multi-tenant platform for industries like logistics, manufacturing, and energy. These sectors could create digital twins – virtual versions of real systems – to test, monitor, and improve operations. The idea is simple: simulate before you build, or run stress tests in digital form to save time and money later. This type of simulation and optimisation supports Saudi Arabia’s broader push into automation and smart industry. It fits in a wider narrative of transitioning from oil to advanced tech as a core pillar of the economy. The deal fits into NVIDIA’s global strategy, and the company has similar partnerships in India, the UAE, and Europe. Saudi Arabia offers strong government support, deep funding, and the promise to become a new AI hub in the Middle East. In return, NVIDIA provides the technical backbone – GPUs, software platforms, and the know-how to run them. The partnership helps both sides. Saudi Arabia gets the tools to build AI from the ground up and build a new economic version of itself, while NVIDIA gains a long-term customer and a foothold in a growing market. There are still gaps to watch. How will HUMAIN govern the use of its models? Will they be open for researchers and startups, or tightly controlled by the state? What role will local universities or private companies play? And can workforce development keep pace with the rapid buildout of infrastructure?HUMAIN isn’t just building for now. The structure suggests a long-term bet – one that links compute power, national priorities, and a shift in how AI is developed and deployed. Saudi Arabia wants more than access. It wants influence. And HUMAIN, in partnership with NVIDIA, is the engine it’s building to get there.See also: Huawei’s AI hardware breakthrough challenges Nvidia’s dominanceWant to learn more about AI and big data from industry leaders? EA Motive is Hiring a Level Designer to Create “Major Single-Player Levels” For Iron Man
While EA Motive has been quiet about its ongoing development of a game based on the Iron Man franchise, a new job listing has been spotted on EA’s jobs website that indicates that single-player will be a major component of the game. The job listing is for a Level Designer that would be in charge of designing “major singleplayer levels”. Along with designing levels, the responsibilities for the job posting include bringing the levels through every phase of development, from concept all the way up to polishing. The level designer will also need to incorporate feedback from research and playtest data, while also communicating with the rest of the team when it comes to feedback on the levels they design. According to the posting, the position requires a potential level designer to have experience with single-player action RPG titles, as well as creative skills when it comes to conceptualising and designing environments. The posting also requires familiarity with Epic’s Unreal Engine. The last time EA Motive spoke about Iron Man was with general manager Patrick Klaus revealing that the team in the studio working on the game had hit a major internal milestone. In his update, Klaus mentioned that the project, led by Olivier Proulx and Ian Frazier, has laid “a robust foundation for the journey ahead.” The major internal milestone would likely have to do with the pre-production phase of the development of Iron Man. Back in October 2023, Klaus had revealed that EA Motive was still in the early stages of the game’s development, having started work on the title after wrapping up the Dead Space remake earlier that year. “Since, our focus has switched to the Iron Man project, giving us the opportunity to workwith another extraordinary property,” Klaus wrote back then. “We’re still early in pre-production and taking our time to make sure we set the best possible foundation for development. But already, we’re finding so many opportunities to explore story, design and gameplay with Iron Man, and it’s exciting to see the fantasy start coming alive.” While we don’t yet know too much about the Iron Man project, back in 2023, author Ryan North had announced that he was joining the writing team for the game. Nolan, who has worked on a host of comic booksas well as 2022 video game Lost in Random, said that “You are not ready for how amazing this game is going to be.” Owing to the general silence regarding the game, EA had confirmed that development on Iron Man, along with another project based on superhero Black Panther, hadn’t been cancelled. The statement came in light of lay-offs at the time affecting 670 employees throughout the company. Currently, no further details about EA Motive’s Iron Man game have been revealed, including what platforms it would be coming to, or even a potential launch window. Going by EA’s general multiplatform release strategy, however, the title is likely being made for PC and consoles.

Play Indiana Jones or Lara Croft in the new TTRPG Outgunned Adventure
Last year, Italian games studio Two Little Mice struck a deal to have Swedish tabletop publisher Free League distribute the Ennie-winning game Outgunned, which lets gaming groups play out heist or action movies like Ocean’s Eleven and Mission: Impossible. As part of that deal, Free League just released the first book in Outgunned’s genre line, Outgunned Adventure, which focuses on pulp films like Indiana Jones, The Mummy, and Tomb Raider.
The standalone book uses Outgunned’s Director’s Cut RPG system, which has players roll between two and nine six-sided dice and score successes based on how many land on the same face. As the name suggests, characters are meant to be outmatched by dastardly villains they need to face through shootouts and fast talking. Failure is common, but PCs can “fail with style” — for instance, getting lost while searching for something might mean the players find something they weren’t expecting. Being too noisy on an infiltration might just lead to an exciting fight with a dangerous enemy they hoped to avoid.
The core rulebook includes 10 new roles, like Scoundrel, Technician, and Captain. Those combine with action movie tropes to provide a wide range of character options. You’ll explore ancient temples, run from traps, and fight on top of trains, while searching for treasure and solving mysteries. GMs looking to start playing quickly can pick up the Fall of Atlantis three-part campaign — Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire is another major influence on the game — and an Adventure Director Screen, which provides a quick rules reference. The print books come with PDF copies, fulfilled through DriveThruRPG.Like the base game, Outgunned Adventure was the product of a highly successful crowdfunding campaign, raising more than €480,000 last summer. Two Little Mice has also just kicked off a campaign for its next genre book, Outgunned Superheroes. It has already raised more than €224,000, and high pledge levels include other Outgunned products, including the Action Flicks setting books and the John Wick-inspired World of Killers.

AMD Teases Radeon RX 9060 XT Reference Design: Will Be Unveiled On 21St May But You Can’t Buy It!
AMD announces the Radeon RX 9060 XT unveiling date. Shares render of the reference edition, but it won't be available for purchase.
Radeon RX 9060 XT Reference Card Features Dual-Fan Design and a Single 8-pin PCI-E Connector
Just like the Radeon RX 9070 XT, there exists a reference design for the upcoming Radeon RX 9060 XT. However, just like the RX 9070 XT, you won't be able to buy it either. The RX 9060 XT is set to be unveiled on 21st May at Computex in Taipei, where AMD will release more of its products from the AI and gaming segments.
The infographic AMD shared on its official AMD Gaming handle shows a dual-fan Radeon RX 9060 XT graphics card, which is supposedly what the reference design would look like if it existed in reality. There is a high possibility that AMD will make a few of these cards, but they won't be available for sale. We saw AMD's reference design for the RX 9070 XT as well, but it was only spotted much later than launch.
Similarly, we are seeing the reference design of the Radeon RX 9060 XT, which might actually exist, but the infographic states at the bottom, "Artistic Render Not Available for Purchase". Nonetheless, what's more important is the actual release date, when AMD will reveal its full specification as well as performance numbers.
From AMD's render, we can at least see and confirm that the RX 9060 XT will feature a single 8-pin PCI-E power connector, which means the TDP should be around 200W or less. Custom editions, particularly the OC ones, will be slightly power-hungrier, and AIBs may add another connector to add room for overclocking.
As far as the core specs of the card are concerned, the GPU is expected to bring 2048 Stream Processors and will feature both 8 GB and 16 GB variants. AMD is supposedly focusing more on the 16 GB edition right now, but will release the 8 GB edition later. The GPU, therefore, will have a memory bus width of 128-bit and will compete directly with the RTX 5060 Ti from NVIDIA. Stay tuned as we will cover the release in full detail when Computex commences.

Radeon RX 9060 XT Reference Card Features Dual-Fan Design and a Single 8-pin PCI-E Connector Just like the Radeon RX 9070 XT, there exists a reference design for the upcoming Radeon RX 9060 XT.
