Launching on June 26, 2025, the upcoming sequel takes Sam Porter-Bridges to Australia for a mysterious new story.  In a recent statement, Kojima revealed that a third, and likely final, trailer for Death Stranding 2 is coming very soon to reveal a load of new information about the game. However, the new trailer won’t reveal much about the game’s plot.  A new Death Stranding 2 trailer is coming  Via Genki, Kojima revealed that the upcoming trailer will release “a week or two before launch” and will show off brand-new gameplay systems that have been kept tightly under wraps.  “It will have a lot (of new information),” the iconic game director explained. “I will reveal it all.” However, Kojima is still keeping the video game’s plot largely secret in the game’s final trailer. Just like the original game, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach’s central plot is being kept as secret as possible until launch. (Anyone else getting Metal Gear Solid 2 vibes?)  While some outlets have released major previews for the game after a massive 30 hours of playtime, Kojima Productions and PlayStation have managed to keep the game’s major plot from leaking through. What revelations is Kojima hiding?  With Kojima revealing that the upcoming sequel is more of a spiritual successor to Metal Gear Solid V than anyone expected, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is set to be a very different experience to the original while still being very exciting.  On launch, the upcoming Hideo Kojima game will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro consoles. Nazara Technologies acquires Curve Games for £21.7m Gaming and sports media firm says "publishing capabilities" of Curve Games will support its global growth Image credit: Curve Games News by Sophie McEvoy Staff Writer Published on May 20, 2025 Nazara Technologies has acquired Curve Games for £21.7 million. The acquisition was made to strengthen the India-based gaming and sports media firm as it continues to build "a diverse portfolio of businesses" through mergers and acquisitions. It said that the "publishing capabilities" of Curve will allow it to grow globally and support cross-platform IP development for PC and console. "Curve's proven expertise in PC and console publishing makes them an ideal partner as we expand our focus beyond mobile into high-quality cross-platform gaming," said Nazara CEO Nitish Mittersain. "This acquisition deepens our capabilities, brings exceptional IP into our fold, and strengthens our mission in building Nazara as a global gaming powerhouse from India. Curve will also serve as a gateway to the world for Indian game developers." Curve Games' executive chairman Stuart Dinsey added: "Joining the Nazara family is an exciting new chapter for Curve. Nazara's ecosystem, access to emerging markets and long-term orientation make them a strong strategic partner. "We are aligned in our vision of building a leading global indie platform, and we look forward to the next phase of growth together." UK-based Curve Games was founded in 2005 by Jason Perkins. It is known for publishing indie titles including Human: Fall Flat, Dungeons of Hinterberg, and The Ascent. Last September, Nazara raised $108 million to bolster its merger and acquisition goals. A month prior, it acquired Fusebox Games for $27.2 million.

Qualcomm may be best known for powering smartphones, but at the Computex trade show in Taiwan, the US chip vendor came to talk about Windows PCs and its play for a market that’s long been dominated by Intel and AMD. “We’re going to be in the PC market forever,” said Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon. In a keynote, Amon detailed the company’s progress over the past year since it made a major push to sell Snapdragon X-powered Windows laptops. “We’ve very happy with the traction so far,” he said. “We have now over 85 plus [PC] designs that have launched or are in development."The goal is to release 100+ product models by next year, giving consumers more choice for their next laptop purchases. Less refined but also more linear than its successor, the second game in the trilogy still tells a gripping story of magic fables and grim politicking across a much less overwhelming map. You can get in and out in just 25 hours if you want, with smaller zones to explore and fewer RPG systems to tinker with, but still tons of great story scenes and character writing. The Witcher 1 is also decent in its own way, though it’s much more of an acquired taste. Some still swear by it but I’ve found the fiddly menus, archaic controls, and opaque directions a chore to muddle through, even if the storytelling lays necessary groundwork for the sequels and goes to places you only ever hear about in the latest game. At just $1.50, though, there’s really no reason not to scoop it up with the rest. The Gwent-based campaign spin-off,Thronebreaker, is also just $4, or you can play the card game for free (it’s no longer updated by CDPR but is still maintained by the community). .

In an interview with the Press X to Continue podcast, the acclaimed game designer and writer revealed he is producing an unannounced game. Then, you know, there's another game that's being worked out in Naughty Dog where I'm more of a producer role and I get to mentor and watch this other team and give feedback and be, like, the executive in the room. I enjoy all those roles and the fact that I jump between one to the next, it makes my job very exciting and always feeling fresh. I'm never bored. Of course, that is in addition to the announced Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, which he's personally directing. And he's also an executive producer and episode director on The Last of Us HBO show, which is likely to continue beyond season two, given that it didn't include all of the story from the second game. Druckmann's statement confirms a recent rumor reported by movie insider Daniel Richtman, who mentioned that Naughty Dog recently canceled a game formerly directed by Vinit Agarwal but still has another active project that's been in the works for at least three years with Shaun Escayg as its director. Now, when it comes to what that will be, we inevitably enter guessing territory. The mind immediately goes to The Last of Us Part III, which many fans would like to see at some point. However, Druckmann himself suggested just over two months ago that there may not even be a third installment in the beloved franchise. Was he just misdirecting until a proper announcement? Or is Escayg perhaps working on a new installment in the Uncharted IP, which is familiar ground for him, having already co-directed Uncharted: The Lost Legacy with Kurt Margenau? It may be a while until we learn the answers to these questions. During that podcast conversation, Druckmann also marveled at the improvements made in the gaming medium when discussing things that The Last of Us fans preferred in the game over the TV show adaptation: Lately, I've just been really fascinated with the adaptation and all the various reactions to it. And I just had this moment the other day where I was reading something, actually people were critical of some choices that we've made in the show and they were saying like, oh, I like this better in the game and this was more subtle in the game, and I just had this joyous moment of like, look how far games have come that we could have this conversation. You can compare the two and the game can sit side by side with an HBO show and you can have this conversation and even if people are critical of it, I just love it. And then there's people that love it and there's people that love the show better, and they're like, "Oh, these choices were better than the game." And I'm like, "Isn't that fascinating? Naturally, despite the excellent remastered trilogies, Tomb Raider fans are desperately awaiting the reveal of Crystal Dynamics’ next AAA game starring the legendary heroine. While not official, there are rumors for the next game possibly appearing at Summer Game Fest, meanwhile, a recent Crystal Dynamics’ job listing possibly means Tomb Raider 12 is in the late stages of development. Job listing hints next Tomb Raider game might be in late stages of development   As first spotted by OP somethingisnotwight on the Tomb Raider subreddit, Crystal Dynamics posted a Senior Level Designer job listing on May 17th. On LinkedIn, the job listing post says Crystal Dynamics are seeking a Senior Level Designer who can: Spearhead strike teams as a high-impact individual contributor Take ownership of designing levels featuring compelling puzzle elements Apply Unreal expertise to build, iterate, and refine designs Image credit: LinkedIn This is interesting because of the mention of “strike teams”. Typically, strike teams are used during the late stages of development such as at the alpha stage, beta testing, or final polishing, as per Game Developer. Strike teams are small units wholly focused on specific areas and bugs, and they are usually started at least six months before the intended release of a game. While the job listing doesn’t explicitly mention Tomb Raider by name, it does mention “Strong focus on puzzle design, ideally within third-person action-adventure games”. This seems to be a clear reference to Tomb Raider 12, as it’s the only game Crystal Dynamics are currently developing, aside from Perfect Dark which they are co-developing with The Initiative for Xbox. However, that game is first-person. If the next Tomb Raider is in the late stages of development, we could be looking at a 2026 release, which would be appropriate as it’s the 30th anniversary of the series. Assuming it does come out next year, the timing will be interesting cause of the delay to GTA 6. Jason Schreier recently reported about the concerns amongst other developers about the possibility of another delay for Grand Theft Auto, so, if Tomb Raider is to come out next year, it will either want to launch before May or plan for Summer/Fall and risk the chance of another postponement from Rockstar. TR12 reveal at Summer Game Fest? Although nothing is official, there is the chance Tomb Raider 12 could be revealed at Summer Game Fest. Recently, renowned leaker, NateTheHate, was asked if either Tomb Raider, Project 007, or Wolf Among Us 2 will be at Geoff Keighley’s show. In response, NateTheHate said, “At least one” of the three will be present. Vthescooper has a thread of verified leaks for a wide range of different movies, and Tomb Raider 12 appears to be the only video game they have leaked details about. According to the leaker back in May 2024, the next TR game will be fully open-world set in India, with Lara able to freely traverse the landscape using a motorcycle, parachute, and other tools. The story will allegedly involve Lara racing “against a Society of Raiders and other rivals for powerful relics,” and there will be a “new feature based on recruiting teams and allies to strategically aid you in missions and defeating rivals”. None of this is official, but vthescooper’s post about a “Society of Raiders” was uploaded before being mentioned on the official Tomb Raider website as part of a sign-up process for fans. All we know is that it is being developed by Crystal Dynamics using Unreal Engine 5, it will be published by Amazon Games, and it is a unified Lara with the survivor trilogy recognized as her origin. We also know her default unified attire thanks to it appearing in several crossovers, such as the recent Pinball FX. In other Tomb Raider news, Crystal Dynamics has assured fans that recent layoffs do not “alter plans” for what they are working on.
