In a world where we wouldn't dare send a postcard without encryption, it seems our telecommunications back-end has decided to throw caution (and common sense) to the wind. Apparently, satellite snooping has revealed sensitive unencrypted data, proving once again that some folks still believe "security" is just a fancy word for "keeping the doors unlocked."
Is it too much to ask that our data be treated with the same level of respect as our morning coffee – you know, hot and secure? Just when I thought we had it all figured out, it turns out some networks still believe 'HTTPS' is just a suggestion.
What’s next? A public Wi-Fi hotspot inviting you to share your deepest secrets?
Stay safe out there, everyone!
