WWW.RESETERA.COMTekken 8 Season 2 patch is setting reddit on fire and getting the game review bombed on steam.CountAntonio Member Oct 25, 2017 24,251 I don't play tekken so I'm not sure what's going on but it seems season 2 has pissed off a lot of people from pro players to the internet at large. Review bombed on steam, YouTube videos thrashing the changes and reddit going crazy. From people who play the game is this an overreaction or are things that bad? Then S2 actually hits and it's buffs everywhere, even for top characters that people were already complaining were bullshit. On top of general system changes that really encourage unbridled aggression (such as having to eat and block mixups that do more chip damage than just getting thrown, but you also eat chip damage for successfully breaking throws). And some characters like Steve got slightly retooled to further reinforce mix-up heavy gameplay too. And this is on top of things people really complained about in S1, namely the game being so focused on Heat mode, which this patch ends up doubling down on as well. I think the backlash to the changes go far beyond just the lack of defensive options they promised (and adding offensive options to counter the sidestepping boost). The changes are a huge doubling-down of T8's initial vision of heavy offensive, 50/50 mixup heavy interactions and reduction of playstyle individuality. To the point where the DNA of Tekken that's run through 30 years of this series is really breaking down with the S2 changes. Characters got given very similar moves to each other, buffing them and wiping out their weaknesses and deleting their individuality Which is WEIRD because Tekken 8 actually rolled this egregious shit back from T7, so they were literally in a good base despite the heat mode brainrot, but they decided to go straight to Tekken 7 season 12 They had enough braincells to know to rein things in and have (most) of the cast come back to weaknesses and strengths and decided to ruin everything. it's impossible to understand I blame Strive The Quentulated Mox Corrupted by Vengeance Member Jun 10, 2022 6,439 Have we considered the possibility of an April Fools Day joke patch? That'd be an incredible commitment to the bit considering a lot of these changes were publicly shown and discussed weeks ago. Which is wild considering they saw they wholly negative reaction at the time and still went through with it. People were already unhappy before these proposed changes and now those people have given up hope. A Strong Latte Member Oct 25, 2017 8,782 Kinda surprising to see people crying out for nerfs and more defense... usually that's the opposite of what people like in FG patches. I know the game is out of control right now, but a big nerf patch would feel bad without some new toys to play with as well. I'm pretty mid at Tekken, but I thought the whole game was about hitting people with confusing/ambiguous 50/50s into launcher. When people talk about "more defense" what do they mean? some kind of defensive move that protects you from the 50/50s? Maximilian The Dood Verified Feb 19, 2019 336 I didn't mind S1 T8. 0 Comentários 0 Compartilhamentos 80 Visualizações

WWW.GAMESPOT.COMHow To Get Trophies And Blue Tents In Blue PrinceAre you hoping to unlock the Blue Tents in Blue Prince? These are permanent upgrades to the estate and, while they won't provide you with noticeable buffs, they do lead to a rather surprising addition to certain rooms. Our guide has all the information that you need to help you get started, but keep in mind there there will be minor spoilers ahead. How to unlock Blue Tents in Blue Prince - Trophies and Blue Memos guideThe Blue Tents upgrade comes from the Gift Shop, which is a room that you can draft in the manor. It costs a whopping 400 gold to purchase. Likewise, you also need to meet a strict requirement: You can only buy the Blue Tents upgrade once you've obtained at least eight trophies. Our guide takes a look at all the trophies in the game, as well as the easiest ones that you could focus on. Later, we discuss what sort of perk you'll receive once you have Blue Tents in the estate. The Blue Prince trophy listUpon reaching Room 46 for the first time, Simon will successfully inherit his great uncle's estate. You'll notice several new additions, such as more rooms, secrets, and even tasks. One particular document--the Trophies of Mount Holly--even has a checklist of all the available achievements that you can acquire down the line. This document can be found on a desk at the left-hand side of the Entrance Hall, and on the wall in the Trophy Room. The Inheritance Trophy is automatically unlocked after clearing Room 46 for the first time. That means you only need seven trophies for the Blue Prince Blue Tents upgrade:As a general rule, you want to avoid the Dare Bird Trophy, Cursed Trophy, Day One Trophy, and Trophy of Speed. Those are all challenge runs that you can tackle using a different save file. They're also very difficult, as though you need all the stars to align just to succeed. The Trophy of Trophies also becomes available once you have every other trophy, so you can scratch that off the list. That leaves us with nine other options. Bullseye Trophy and A Logical TrophyThe Bullseye Trophy and A Logical Trophy are awarded upon completing 40 Darts Puzzles and 40 Parlor Puzzles, respectively. These puzzles get progressively tougher the more you complete them, leading to all sorts of complex mathematical equations or ridiculously cryptic logical dilemmas. That said, you can grab Upgrade Disks that add new effects/perks:One upgrade for the Darts Puzzle reverts all operations to simple addition. An upgrade for the Parlor Puzzle grants another Wind-up Key. You can pick a second box in case you made a mistake with your first guess. Trophy 8This is actually one of the easiest trophies to acquire if you want the Blue Prince Blue Tents upgrade. You just need to do the following:Solve the Gallery Puzzle to receive the Key 8.Reach row/rank 8 in the manor and find a locked door. Use Key 8 to unlock the door to magically spawn Room 8.Complete the Room 8 Puzzle. You don't need to do the above in a single day in-game. If you drafted a Coat Check, you can store the Key 8 inside, and then retrieve it later when you're sure that you can spawn Room 8 in a run. Trophy of InventionYou'll get this Blue Prince trophy soon enough while progressing through the campaign. You just need to craft all eight Workshop contraptions. You can learn about the items that you need in our Workshop crafting guide. Full House Trophy and Explorer's TrophyThe Full House Trophy is something that you can obtain if you manage a perfect run. All you have to do is ensure that you can draft a room in every open slot in the manor--i.e. all 45 slots must have a room. This means using connectors and a few rerolling methods to have a "full house."The Explorer's Trophy, meanwhile, requires you to advance through multiple days, all while drafting every single applicable room in the mansion. Basically, you must have access to every room in the Room Directory in your menu. Here are a few tips:Place down the Drafting Studio as often as possible. It allows you to add rooms like the Kennel, Clock Tower, Dovecote, and more to your drafting pool.Draft every randomized option that appears in the outer shed, which you unlock via the Garage Door/West Gate Path.Discover all eight Found Floorplans hidden in other parts of the estate. You must draft and enter each room in the directory. Once you've done this for all areas, the trophy should appear in the last room that you drafted to complete the tally. Trophy of DraftingThere's another trophy that you can grab for the Blue Tents upgrade in Blue Prince. It's called the Trophy of Drafting, and it requires you to plop down 20 or more dead ends in a single run. Here are some tips:Try to create connectors/open paths first via hallways and rooms with several openings. Later, you can place down dead end rooms if you think you can have 20 or more by the end of it.Dead end rooms are those without doors or paths, except for the entrance where you came in--i.e. Walk-in Closet, Furnace, Freezer, Lavatory, Bunk Room, Guest Room, Utility Closet, etc.Certain rooms also count as dead ends for the purpose of this tally: Chamber of MirrorsSecret PassageAny outer room that you draft in the West Gate Path. The Chamber of Mirrors lets duplicates of previously drafted rooms appear in the drawing pool again. You can check the telescope in the Observatory. Depending on the number of stars, you might get the Draxus the Dead constellation. It causes dead ends to appear more often in your drafting pool.Note: Your trophy reward will appear in the Mail Room after a couple of days pass in-game. It also includes prize money worth 200 gold. Trophy of WealthThis requires you to buy all four of the items being sold in the Showcase room. Note that the available items tend to change per run, too. Ideally, you should amass enough gold through the following means:Increase your gold allowance via Allowance Tokens and Laboratory house features experiments.Draft the Vault (+40 gold) and the Treasure Trove (accumulates +5 gold whenever you draft it).Pick the Tomb as an outer room and draft several dead ends. The Tomb will have +5 gold for each dead end, so you can just return there a bit later in your run.If you received the Trophy of Drafting mentioned above, you can use the 200 gold prize to buy items from the Showcase during the same run.You can "freeze your assets" via the Freezer. When you end the day, you'll retain the amount of gold and gems that you had during your previous attempt. Diploma TrophyThis particular trophy in Blue Prince is harder to get due to the requirements:You need to unlock the Classroom via the Drafting Studio. You must draft the Schoolhouse as an outer room. This lets you draft up to eight additional Classrooms inside the manor. In one run, you have to place nine classrooms--i.e. one unlocked via the Drafting Studio and the eight additional options from the Schoolhouse. You don't need to plop them down consecutively, but you must have all nine near the end. Each Classroom is akin to a grade/level, and the ninth Classroom has a final exam.If you get a high score in the test, the trophy will be waiting for you at the Entrance Hall the next day. Trophy of SigilsOne of the most time-consuming Blue Prince trophies concerns the sigils in the estate. Here's a quick summary:You must find all Sanctum Keys, which are scattered in various locations. You then have to rotate the dials in the Inner Sanctum to solve Sigil Puzzles. After solving all eight of these, the Trophy of Sigils will appear in the Inner Sanctum the next day. While you're at it, you might as well complete the Eight Realms in Eight Months riddle, too. What are the Blue Memos from the Blue Tents?Let's say you've already obtained eight trophies. That means you can finally purchase the Blue Tents in the Gift Shop for 400 gold. The Blue Prince Blue Tents upgrade has a unique perk: Any blue room that you draft in the eighth rank contains a hidden Blue Memo. Here's what you need to know:Check the Room Directory and look for rooms with the blue color. They're also classified as "blueprints."In each run, you must reach row/rank 8 of the manor--i.e. one row below the Antechamber. Any blue room you draft in that row will have a new Blue Memo that you can read. These memos are somewhat hard to find, so keep your eyes peeled. Some memos talk about the solutions to various riddles, while others provide background lore information.A select few are actually quite important, since they offer hints to late-game puzzles. Some rooms that are of a different color by default might turn into blue rooms later on through your own actions, which means you can find Blue Memos within.A surreal adventure filled with wonders and mysteries await you in Blue Prince. If ever you feel stuck or lost at any point in time in your playthrough, don't forget to check our Blue Prince guides hub.0 Comentários 0 Compartilhamentos 55 Visualizações

WWW.POLYGON.COMThe best way to play Blue Prince is to cheat a littleThis is a judgement-free zone for those of us who suck at Blue Prince, the hit puzzle game about exploring a weird mansion. Critics and puzzle fans say it might be one of the best games this year, which is surprising because it makes you do math. And it’s not even just regular math; it’s math with made-up rules. But I’m here to tell you that there’s no shame in looking up those rules, or anything else that stumps you in this game. It won’t ruin the experience. I came into Blue Prince thinking it would be more like Outer Wilds, a game where the puzzles help you unravel what’s going on in the story. Blue Prince is sort of like that, but it’s also sort of not. Discarded notes and newspapers help fill you in on what happened, but the focus of the game is on outsmarting its clockwork mansion. There are puzzles everywhere that only tangentially have to do with the story. Some of them only exist to help you progress through the mansion each day. While there is definitely a joy in figuring out every puzzle on your own, there are times where you could have more fun by cheating a little bit and looking up the solution. Blue Prince isn’t the type of game that can be ruined by reading a guide or two. Most of the time you’re only going to spoil the logic of a puzzle — the order of operations or what to look for. The math puzzle, for example, changes every day. The answers can’t really be written down in a list — even once you learn what each color means, you still have to solve the equation itself on your own. Other puzzles aren’t randomized, but they rely on you knowing what to look for before you’re even aware there’s a puzzle to solve. Reading just enough of a guide to understand what’s involved can be a great way to push through periods where you can’t seem to progress. It’ll also help you understand how the game is structured when you’re just starting out. On day 30 or so, I noticed a pattern with each room and hit up Google to see if I was on the right track and I saw a bunch of results about that specific thing. Instead of investigating any further, I continued playing knowing that something would come of it later on (and it did). Blue Prince can be frustrating when a run doesn’t amount to any tangible progress. Until you understand how to draft rooms strategically, you’re going to end a lot of days with dead ends and no leads. This gets easier to handle with time, but unlucky runs never fully go away. Unique rooms tied to specific puzzles don’t always show up when you need them, and you won’t always have the right items with you to do what you want. In those rare times where things line up and you’re desperate to make some kind of progress, take a peek at a guide or ask a friend to give you hints at what to do. There are people who have discovered new things over 100 hours into the game. Not every puzzle makes sense to every brain, and sometimes you just need a little nudge in the right direction.0 Comentários 0 Compartilhamentos 68 Visualizações

LIFEHACKER.COMiPadOS 19 Might Make Your iPad More Like a MacThere are two kinds of iPad fans in this world: those who love the tablet just the way it is, and those who desperately wish Apple would make a touchscreen Mac, already. While Apple may never bring macOS to the iPad (at least, not in my lifetime), there's reason to believe Apple's tablet might soon be closing the computing gap between it and the Mac.Could iPadOS 19 finally solve the iPad's multitasking problem? According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is planning a sizable overhaul to its tablets with iPadOS 19. Gurman's sources say the changes this year focus on "productivity, multitasking and app window management." It seems the team wants the iPad to function more like a Mac than it currently does.If true, this is fantastic news—at least, for those of us who find iPadOS a bit lacking. I really do enjoy my iPad for certain tasks, and, in theory, it should be my go-to computing device. (My Mac doesn't have a touchscreen or a stylus, after all.) But more often than not, I find myself returning to my MacBook for most applications that aren't simple web browsing, messaging, or content consumption. Despite 15 years of the iPad, our modern digital world is still optimized for a desktop computing experience. That said, Apple has made meaningful changes to the iPad over the years to mimic that desktop computing experience. Multitasking, for example, has gone through multiple iterations over the years. In fact, right now, you have two choices when it comes to multitasking: You can stick with the basic experience, which lets you lock two apps side-by-side in "Split View," and show or hide another iOS-like window as a "Slide Over." Or, you can use Stage Manager, which Apple introduced with iPadOS 16.1. Stage Manager lets you add up to four floating, resizable windows to the main display at once, or connect an external display to add even more. It definitely acts more like macOS than the traditional multitasking function in iPadOS, but it's far from a comparable replacement—the overall experience is a bit buggy, and the resized app windows aren't nearly as optimized as they would be on macOS. I thought I'd love it when Apple first launched the feature, but the more I used it, the more I just wanted my Mac back. The best way to use an iPad at the moment, in my opinion, is one app at a time. macOS is not coming to the iPadGurman doesn't share many details about Apple's plans to make iPadOS more like macOS, but he does add an important point here: If you're hoping the company will simply bring the Mac's operating system to the iPad, keep dreaming. Your iPad will still be running iPadOS, and your Mac will still be running macOS. While it would be great if Apple configured a version of macOS optimized for its large touchscreen devices, the company won't do it—likely because it would cannibalize Mac sales. In Apple's view, the best-case scenario is to make the iPad good enough for people to buy, while also buying a Mac for the things the iPad can't do. It's kind of like Trader Joe's: You love it for what it's best at, but once you leave, you have to stop at a normal grocery store for the things Trader Joe's doesn't carry.I'm not sure what Apple plans to do here to make the iPad more productive, with improved multitasking and app window management. If macOS itself isn't the goal here, perhaps we can expect more macOS-like windows and behaviors: Maybe it'll still be iPadOS, but resized windows won't feel like glorified iOS apps. Perhaps you could run more windows at once, or have easy app-switching without the windows moving around at random. Any of these idea would be an improvement over what we currently have. While I would love a true Mac tablet, if iPadOS 19 makes my iPad more usable as a computer, that might be good enough for me.0 Comentários 0 Compartilhamentos 73 Visualizações
