GAMINGBOLT.COMDeath Stranding 2: On the Beach Ending Development Will Start Kojima Productions’ “Phase 2”During his recent radio show, Hideo Kojima has said that, once development on Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is complete, Kojima Productions as a studio will enter a phase. Translated by X user Genki_JPN, Kojima said that, once full development on OD and Physint have been started, Kojima Productions will enter “phase 2”. While what Kojima means when he refers to entering “phase 2” isn’t yet clear, he also said that he is unsure about his own future after work on Physint has been completed. According to Genki_JPN, Kojima said that he might make another game, or even get into making movies. Kojima also apparently intends to create anime during the studio’s “phase 2”. Further describing what “phase 1” of Kojima Productions was, Kojima clarified that it was a period for the studio to create new IP which could then get expanded on, and ultimately get a multiplatform release. Kojima also said that, since Kojima Productions is still an independent studio, he will have to make contacts to figure out what the studio’s next project will be. Physint was announced all the way back in February 2024. The title is slated to be a new stealth game helmed by Hideo Kojima and developed by Kojima Productions. Kojima has described the title as a “next-generation action espionage game.” He also revealed that full development on the game will start only after the release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. “Preparations are underway, but production will begin in earnest at Kojima Productions after Death Stranding 2,” Kojima said back in February. “We have extensive experience with Sony, having grown the espionage genre together for almost 30 years. Also, Sony not only does games, but also music and movies. It will definitely be a strong collaboration.” “Two years from now, I will celebrate the 40th anniversary of my game production career. I am confident that this title will be the culmination of my work.” While working with Sony on Physint, Kojima is also working with Microsoft on a horror title dubbed OD. Announced back in December 2023, OD will be exclusive to Xbox, and was announced with a trailer during The Game Awards 2023. While not too many details have been revealed so far, we do know that OD is being developed using Unreal Engine 5, and that it will make use of Microsoft’s cloud technology. In true Kojima fashion, OD will also feature real-world actors taking on the roles of in-game cahracters, including Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer, and Udo Kier. While development on Death Stranding 2: On the Beach has been progressing, back in January, Kojima also mentioned the hiccups facing the development of OD and Physint owing to the SAG-AFTRA strike at the time. He expressed hopes to resume development on both titles this year, however. In the meantime, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be coming to will be coming to PS5 on June 26. Check out details that Kojima has revealed about the Japanese bokka couriers that inspired the gameplay of Death Stranding making an appearance in the sequel.0 Commentaires 0 Parts 98 Vue

WWW.RESETERA.COM"I wish I was still playing"Azem Member Oct 25, 2017 1,178 After having it installed for months, I finally got around to starting 1000xResist yesterday. After a start that was... not off-putting, but definitely putting me in a mindset where I wasn't fully engaged, I became quite engrossed in the story and made a bunch of progress in the game (I'm on chapter 6 currently, no spoilers). At around 12:30 last night, I finally forced myself to bed. I laid there in the dark with my hands resting on my tummy the stereotype of someone whose mind won't stop, and I thought to myself "God, I wish I was still playing." Era, what's the last game that you couldn't stop thinking about after turning it off for the day? A game that you couldn't wait to play again? Was it the story, was it the gameplay ... was it something fucked up? Is it a game you play with others and you cherish that time and fun together? What got stuck in your mind? I'll second Outer Wilds. It was frequently on my mind for the few weeks I played it, often contemplating what planet I should visit next or just trying to imagine how some mechanic worked. Outside of Outer Wilds, I'd also mention Nioh 2. Can't get enough of the combat and thinking of what build/gear I should focus on next. ClearMetal Hey, it's that sheep! It helps that there's only autosave and only at the end/start of each day. So you're encouraged to constantly play "one more day"--a day lasting roughly 15 minutes real time--because there's always something that needs to be done or a big pay dirt that looms on the horizon. antitrop Member Oct 25, 2017 14,739 The most recent games that come to mind are Octopath Traveler II, Baldur's Gate III, and Ghost of Tsushima, all of which I 100% completed and was left still wanting more, because I enjoyed them so much. Octopath II is one of those "erase my memory so I could play it for the first time again" games. The last game I played where I was excited to play it again when I woke up in the morning was Balatro. It really gets you thinking about the possible Joker combinations and deck strategies when you're not playing it, which makes you excited to get back to it and see what another run has in store for you. jungius Member Sep 5, 2021 3,496 ff16, I really loved the world they presented, the road that lead to oriflamme is so memorable, also that big plains in the ash region. WWW.POLYGON.COMDear Activision, please fix this trashy cult classic so everyone can play itOne of the gnarliest games ever published by a AAA studio is available at a steep discount on Steam. That’s great news… if you can get past the game-breaking bugs. When Activision published Prototype 2 in 2012, the big-budget video game scene was stuck in a creative rut. You could have whatever you wanted, so long as it starred a bald dude with an unquenchable thirst for violence. Hitman. Spec Ops. Max Payne. The cover of Call of Duty was just a silhouette of a bald guy with a gun. Even Mass Effect 2 (beloved, I know!) fell uncomfortably into the same bucket.Prototype 2 is special in that, with hindsight, it’s unclear if the game is the furthest this trend would go or a knowing parody. My guess? Both.Image: Radical Entertainment/ActivisionYou play as former U.S. Marine Sergeant James Heller, and your overarching goal is to kill the protagonist of the original Prototype. Thanks to mutant powers, you can run up skyscrapers, leap entire city blocks, and glide through avenues — imagine the traversal of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 with a city dipped in Vaseline.Unlike Spider-Man, Heller also has a bundle of ultra-violent supervillain talents. You can eat people in a single bite and then transform into them. His forearms morph into mutated claws that would humble Wolverine. Even a simple punch has enough power to juice a civilian; every enemy contains enough blood to fill a swimming pool.Unfortunately, the game is a product of its time in the most literal sense: the PC port, released a few months after the console version, is a disaster. You wouldn’t know it from most reviews at the time, because just getting a console game on PC felt like a gift. Publishers were still terrified of piracy and rarely invested in the platform. It’s a far cry from today, when PC is rapidly cutting into markets and publishers like Square Enix are rethinking their entire business models around it.Image: Radical Entertainment/ActivisionNow combine that 2012 problem with a 2025 one: the industry’s general indifference (if not outright disdain) toward video game preservation, especially for series that no longer promise big profits. The result is Prototype 2 on Steam — a good game failed by the industry twice, still sold despite many players struggling to even get it to launch, relying on YouTube guides and old forum threads.I recommend you play Prototype 2! But you might want to dig your Xbox 360 out of storage and find a disc. Remember those things? They were great.See More: Prototype 2PlaystationPlaystation logoWindowsWindows logoXboxXbox logoXboxXbox logoExplore The Game0 Commentaires 0 Parts 83 Vue

WCCFTECH.COMNVIDIA’s CEO Jensen Huang Rushes To China To Save The AI Business; Discloses Plans To Release New “US-Compliant” AI SolutionsMenu Home News Hardware Gaming Mobile Finance Deals Reviews How To Wccftech HardwareIndustry NVIDIA’s CEO Jensen Huang Rushes To China To Save The AI Business; Discloses Plans To Release New “US-Compliant” AI Solutions Muhammad Zuhair • Apr 17, 2025 at 02:40pm EDT NVIDIA's Jensen Huang visited China a day after the Trump administration imposed restrictions on the H20 AI GPU, showing how important the market is for them. NVIDIA's CEO Visit To China Comes After The New US Restrictions; Calls China as "An Important Market" Well, it seems like NVIDIA has met a massive hurdle in its AI business, as with the Trump administration implementing new restrictions, Team Green has few options left. According to Chinese state media CCTV, Jensen visited China and reportedly met with Ren Hongbin, head of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. The primary aim was likely to show NVIDIA's commitment to the Chinese AI market, and the visit appears to be a "rushed out" one. Jensen reaffirmed that Team Green won't halt its business operations in China. We've grown up in China, in fact. And China has watched us grow in the last 30 years. It's a very important market for us - NVIDIA's CEO via CCTV For those unaware, the Trump adminstration has now barred NVIDIA from selling their H20 AI accelerators in China, which translates into a massive financial loss for the company. In a previous coverage, we discussed how NVIDIA is set to earn around $16 billion from selling its H20 AI GPUs alone in China, and the demand was set to see a rapid rise, amid the ongoing AI frenzy in China. Now that an export restriction has been established for NVIDIA, the company could lose its hold over the regional markets. Interestingly, NVIDIA's CEO was accompanied by DeepSeek's founder Liang Wenfeng, who is said to be a primary customer of Team Green and has played a massive role in stirring up the demand for the company's AI hardware in recent times. Jensen's meeting with Chinese officials makes it clear that Team Green won't step back from doing business in the nation despite the regulations and hurdles coming in their way from the Trump administration. But Team Green has few cards left to play, given that now the firm has to introduce a new variant in the nation that will comply with the new trade regulations. To top it off, NVIDIA faces tough competition from the likes of Huawei, who is said to have developed an AI cluster that will likely outperform Team Green's cutting-edge GB200 NVL72 systems. So, NVIDIA needs to come up with an alternative soon. WWW.POLYGON.COMGigantamax Snorlax counters, weakness, and battle tips in Pokémon GoGigantamax Snorlax is the latest Gigantamax Pokémon to debut in Pokémon Go, and being the chonker it is, it’ll be hard to take down. Its high defensive stats will make it tough, so make sure to group up with as many players as you possibly can to increase your odds of winning. Snorlax will specifically be around on Gigantamax Snorlax Max Battle Day on April 19 from 2-5 p.m. in your local time, showing up every 30 minutes or so at Power Spots in your area. Below we list Gigantamax Snorlax’s best counters and weaknesses in Pokémon Go, as well as general battle tips for the lazy fat cat. Gigantamax Snorlax weakness As a normal-type Pokémon, Snorlax only has one weakness: fighting-type moves, which means we only have a few options for super effective attacks, annoyingly enough. Since it’s normal-type, Snorlax will resist ghost-type moves, so you definitely don’t want to use those as your attackers in this case. Gigantamax Snorlax best counters Try to bring at least one of these attackers to deal the most damage: Dynamax Machamp with Counter Dynamax Passimian with Counter Gigantamax Kingler with Metal Claw Gigantamax Charizard with Dragon Breath Dynamax Falinks with Counter It should be noted that the DPS difference between Machamp and the rest of these Pokémon is large. It is really annoying to somewhat “have” to level up a Dynamax Machamp when we know that Gigantamax Machamp is on the horizon (as it’s been shown in trailers for this season). That being said, if you do not have the extra Machop resources and you would prefer to save them for Gigantamax Machamp, that is totally cool, just bring one of the other aforementioned choices. Notably there is a Timed Research set active right now until the end of the raid day event that rewards you with Machop Candy and a Dynamax Machop to help you get a powered up Machamp! As a reminder, you can also trade Machops with your friends to reduce the cost of evolving Machoke into Machamp (from 100 Machop Candy to zero!), which should help ease the candy requirements for powering up and evolving this thing. For your tanks, you’ll want to bring one or two of these with leveled up Max Guard to tank damage and build up your gauge: Dynamax Blissey with Pound Dynamax Chansey with Pound Gigantamax/Dynamax Gengar with Shadow Claw Gigantamax Lapras with Water Gun Notably you should have Max Spirit (healing) unlocked for your Blissey and Chansey. There is a chance that Snorlax will know Superpower, a fighting-type move that will give Blissey/Chansey and Lapras a hard time — in which case you can use your Gengar to charge your meter instead. (Though it’s entirely possible for your very tanky Blissey to just eat the attacks and heal through it.) The ideal strategy would be to bring two Blisseys and a Machamp, have the Blisseys tank and charge the meter, and then swap to Machamp to dish out Max Knuckle damage. Even if you don’t have these powered up, consider just bringing the strongest Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon you have. If you have a maxed out Gigantamax Toxtricity and your Dynamax Machamp isn’t leveled (and you don’t have the means to power it up), just bring your Toxtricity. This one is particularly tough due to the lack of options and the looming fear of power creep due to Gigantamax Machamp’s upcoming introduction. General Gigantamax Snorlax tips If you’ve been struggling in Max Battles, here’s some general tips to survive — and make sure you’re an asset to your team. Gigantamax battles involve way more strategy than the usual rampant tapping that you do in raids, so make sure to know what you’re doing before jumping in. Make sure you have enough players. High-efficiency groups with maxed out investments can take down the Snorlax with fewer people, but practically, if you don’t have hundreds of spare candy and even more Stardust laying around, this isn’t going to be an option for you. Make sure you have as many people as possible to ensure that you get your sleeping road obstacle. Don’t sleep on Max Spirit and Max Guard. Teams work best when there’s a variety of moves, not just maxed-out attacks. Each player should bring Pokémon with the defensive and healing moves unlocked as well. Max Guard will focus single-target damage towards you and reduce the damage taken; Max Spirit will heal the whole party. These moves are really important to make sure your damage-dealers can keep dishing. Remember to swap to super effective moves when it’s time to Dynamax. For Dynamax Pokémon, their max moves are determined by whatever type their fast move is. This means if you have a Darmanitan with Fire Fang, it will know Max Flare. A Gengar with Lick will know Max Phantasm. Take advantage of this and make sure to swap to a Pokémon that will deal super effective damage to your target before Dynamaxing, if you can. Focus on your fast moves. You want to spam your fast moves to build up that Dynamax meter and often times, using your charge move is actually a DPS loss when compared to the damage you could be doing with your max move will be. Spam those attacks! Level up a few ‘mons, but you don’t have to go too hard. Depending on your group size, you absolutely do not need to max out all your Dynamax Pokémon to level 40-50. While this will make it easier on the rest of your group, if this isn’t an investment you can make, you don’t have to stress about it. Power things up as high as you can afford to, but don’t fret if you don’t have a maxed out Pokémon. That all being said, make sure to come as prepared as you can be. This is a team effort and there’s a chance that a full group of four can still fail. Do not just bring your unleveled Dynamax Wooloo expecting a free ride to a powerful Pokémon. (After all, if everyone does that, then you certainly won’t clear the battle.) Again, you don’t have to completely max out your Pokémon, but it will be better for everyone involved if you bring something helpful to the table. Keep your eye out for a shiny Snorlax! If you clear the raid, there is a chance that the Snorlax you catch will be shiny — which also means it’ll be a guaranteed catch. Use a Pinap Berry to score extra candy if you get lucky enough to find a sparkly Snorlax.0 Commentaires 0 Parts 31 Vue

LIFEHACKER.COMA Guide to Freezing Practically Any FoodWe may earn a commission from links on this page.Sure, the refrigerator can keep food fresher longer, but for serious life extension, the freezer is where you should focus your attention. Preserving food isn’t just better for reducing food waste, it’s crucial for staying on budget, especially as grocery prices hit new highs. Stop the pattern of bulk buying and bulk tossing spoiled food, and get comfortable with freezing more of your grocery haul. Here are the best ways to pack your freezer, the best things to freeze, and how to do it.Organized freezers fit more and stay coldBefore we dive into specific foods, it’s important to set a standard for freezer organization. Keeping a tidy freezer (and fridge for that matter) will keep you from having a headache finding lost foods, allow you to fit more in the space, and ensure you’re eating older foods first. Freeze sauces, broths, and other liquids flat in freezer safe zip-top bags, and don’t forget to label them. (You might swear to yourself in the moment that there's no way you'll forget when you put that chili in the freezer, but then an unknown number of months passes and suddenly you're not so sure whether that chili is from June or September.) Once your liquids are frozen flat, then you can stack them like books on a shelf. Read here for more detailed tips on portioning sauces in the freezer. If you don’t like the idea of freezing in plastic freezer bags (keep in mind that many can be washed and reused up to 10 times) then buy a set of freezer-safe storage containers that can be stacked. The goal is to fit as much as possible in your freezer while still having access to all of the items. You don’t want things getting lost in the back. As an added benefit, more frozen food in the ice box keeps the temperature steady, and your appliance won’t need to draw as much energy. Less money spent on energy is another chicken cutlet in the freezer. Finally, consider investing in a chest freezer. You’ll be able to freeze larger, irregularly shaped items, like a rack of lamb or a whole turkey, easier in one of these. Plus the storage down at your feet rather than up high makes it a better place for heavy items. My current Brooklyn apartment doesn’t have the space, but you better believe that the first thing I’m buying when I do have more space is a chest freezer.CarbsLet’s start with the best thing to freeze: carbs. Breads, cake, choux puffs, cookies, English muffins—they are all freezer champions. I say this because they freeze quickly, freeze for a long time, and revive like nothing ever happened. They’re the best example of what a great time capsule the freezer can be.Keep any bready item in the freezer. The carbs I always freeze are sliced bread, loaves of bread, pre-split English muffins (it’s less annoying later), pancakes, waffles, cooked rice, cakes, frostings, cookies (as dough or post-bake), burger buns, bagels, and biscuits. Some of these can be frozen in their raw form, but you might run into leavening problems if you try baking them after they’ve been frozen. If you haven’t tried to do it before, I recommend baking the bread, cookies, or biscuits first, cooling them completely and then freezing them on a baking tray. After they’re hard and frozen, consolidate the item into a container or freezer bag. Revive breads in a 350°F oven for five to 10 minutes, or in the toaster oven for pancakes and waffles. I’ve revived breads after five months of freezer time and they’ve suffered no degradation in flavor or texture. Meats and other proteinsMeats are easy to freeze both raw and cooked. The only thing you really have to be careful of is freezer burn. I recommend portioning your meats when you bring them home from the grocery store. You can cut chicken into slices or form ground meat into patties while it’s thawed, then wrap them securely in freezer-friendly containers or bags to freeze. I’ll sometimes reuse plastic grocery bags just to double bag them and hopefully prevent moisture loss. Other proteins I like to freeze are shrimp and tofu. To use frozen proteins, put the portion size of your choice into the fridge overnight. If you’re using the meat in a soup or sauce, you might be able to just toss it into the hot pot of liquid to thaw and cook more quickly. According to this USDA freezing chart, frozen foods stay safe indefinitely—it’s really quality and texture that you’re looking out for. Here are their guidelines on how long different proteins can be frozen before texture or quality starts to suffer.Cheeses Credit: Allie Chanthorn Reinmann Frozen cheese is a lifesaver when you need to make a boring meal a tad more appealing. Shredded and low-moisture cheeses freeze well. Check here for a more complete guide on great freezing cheeses. You can easily freeze a block of cheese, like low-moisture mozzarella, cheddar, or swiss, straight in its plastic packaging. When you need to thaw it, leave it in the fridge overnight and it should be ready to go the next day. If you know that you’ll be using it for particular uses, like pizza toppings or lasagna layers, slice or shred it before freezing and keep it in freezer-safe containers. Then the container can essentially live in the freezer. You can just reach into the bag and pluck out exactly what you need, leaving the rest to stay frozen until next time.Fruits and vegetablesFruits, vegetables, and fruits we call vegetables are all freezable. It’s really the thawing that can cause trouble for some produce, but more on that later. When you’re preparing to freeze fruit, slice it into bite sized pieces first, if needed. For example, berries don’t need to be prepped, but pineapple does. Peel fruits and veggies that you’d normally eat peeled—probably not necessary for bell peppers, but you’d do this for bananas. They should be peeled first and then cut into smaller pieces for using later. I’ll usually peel ginger root and julienne it because that’s how I’ll normally use it in soups and curries. Lay the pieces out onto a parchment lined baking sheet in a single layer and put it in the freezer for an hour or two until solid. Then consolidate the fruit into a freezer-safe container. When you’re ready to use the produce, drop it straight into the cooking dish—there’s no need to thaw it. In fact, thawing the ingredient first will probably cause it to be mushy. That’s why fruits and veggies that have been frozen are often great for cooking—they transfer all of their flavor beautifully and it doesn’t matter if their cell structure has gotten a little busted up. Try using them in stews, soups, muffins, pies, or smoothies.Milks and liquidsAs I mentioned earlier, freezing liquids in flat planks can help you stack them and conserve space, as opposed to finding spaces for blocks of liquid. However, it’s really a matter of preference. I wasn’t privy to the world of freezing milks until recently when I learned that I could freeze and thaw coconut milk. It turns out you can freeze cow milk equally as well. This is a huge boon, since dairy milks tend to spoil rather quickly, but buying a whole gallon is usually more cost effective than the smaller sizes. Now you can buy the bigger size, pour half of it into a freezer-safe container and pop it into the freezer. Use the other half at your normal pace, and when you’re ready, thaw the other portion. Thaw frozen milk in the fridge overnight and give it a shake to smooth it out. If you’re in a rush, you can put the icy milk block into a pot on the stove and warm it up. Then return it to the fridge in a container to use in cereal, tea, and coffee over the next five days. Entire cooked mealsTake it from the freezer aisle of your grocery store: a lot of completely cooked meals can be frozen. While you could meal prep for the freezer (my mom will make three lasagnas just to freeze them for us kids later), I use this as an easy way to save leftovers from the garbage can. If I make soup, a huge batch of chili, a casserole, or a stir fry and find that I have way more left over than I expected, then I’ll portion it out into containers or freezer bags and freeze it. This is especially helpful for when you’re leaving for vacation or you have dinner plans for the next four nights. Depending on the meal you’ve frozen, the best way to reheat it is to use the original cooking method. If it’s soup, throw the frozen blocks into a pot, cover it with a lid and heat it over low heat to revive it. If it’s a casserole, gently reheat it in the oven covered with foil so it doesn’t dry out. A stir fry or sautéed meal will reheat best in a lightly-oiled large pan. Start it off on low heat with a lid so the humidity can help thaw the food. After you can break up the pieces easily then you can keep the lid off and bump up the heat to get a nice fry going, and evaporate any excess moisture. Tough to freeze itemsThere are some items that just don’t fare well in the freezer. Whole eggs with their shells on are not recommended for freezing because their shells can crack as the interior expands; this may allow bacteria to potentially contaminate the inside. However, you can crack them and freeze them free from their shells. Watery fruits, vegetables, and tender herbs, like lettuce, cilantro, melons, and cucumbers freeze well but lose their structural integrity after thawing. These can be frozen, and as long as your intentions are to use them in something blended (like a soup or smoothie) then you won’t be disappointed. There’s no need to thaw them, just dump them straight in the soup, sauce, or blender.0 Commentaires 0 Parts 30 Vue
