WWW.ARTIFICIALINTELLIGENCE-NEWS.COMHow AI infrastructure is changing Solana’s price trendsAs of April 2025, Solana price trends – hovering near $141 – are attracting renewed attention from investors and developers. While market fluctuations are typical in the cryptocurrency space, Solana’s price movements are tied increasingly to its evolving role as an infrastructure layer for artificial intelligence. Solana’s technical architecture can handle high-speed, low-cost transactions, thus making it an appealing foundation for AI developers who build real-time, decentralised applications. The convergence of blockchain and AI is influencing the network’s utility and market valuation, creating new narratives around the future of scalable, intelligent systems. Why Solana appeals to the AI industry One appeal of Solana is its extremely agile performance. The network can theoretically support over 65,000 transactions per second (TPS), with real-world numbers averaging 3,000 to 4,500 TPS. This is possible because of the unique proof-of-history (PoH) mechanism, which timestamps transactions to enhance the validation process. Considering the consistently low transaction costs – an average of $0.036 per transaction – Solana offers an ecosystem for computation-dominated AI operations. Blockchain technology, at this level, allows large-scale interactions without latency or high costs. Solana pricing momentum mirrors AI integration While the price of Solana generally mirrors the prevailing mood of the market, analysts have noted correlation between price movements and AI developments on the network. For example, the launch of AI-focused projects and integrations has caused price increases. Distributing AI models for Solana Solana is emerging as a go-to hosting platform for AI-powered decentralised applications. Some of the more prominent projects using the network for AI include: Nosana (NOS) – A decentralised GPU marketplace where users can distribute AI model training. io.net – an AI-centric cost-effective cloud computing service. Grass – Project building an open, incentivised system where an AI agents get paid to write software for large-scale web crawling. These projects rely on the throughput of Solana to maintain real-time inference, moving large data streams, and executing microtransactions. Unlike many chains, Solana’s architecture accommodates AI applications that need to access the blockchain directly and quickly – without losing on cost. Economic feasibility and AI-powered microtransactions Most required micropayments in Solana for data, model updates, or compute payments, need to be executed frequently, via decentralisation. Through its fee structure, where the cost per interaction (transaction) is roughly $0.036, Solana guarantees low interaction costs. This capability fosters concepts like token-incentivised federated learning, autonomous model marketplace architectures, and on-the-go autonomous services – which each depend on micro-interactions unfeasible on slower, more-pricey blockchains. Blockchain analytics show a surge in transaction activity in Solana associated with AI tools and services implementations. The network is capable of thousands of transactions per second; an increasing proportion of those include AI-related functions. The number of active daily addresses on Solana has increased in parallel, due to growing activity from developers working with AI, machine learning infrastructure, predictive analytics and real-time automation systems. The numbers show the demand for blockchain-associated workloads and development related to artificial intelligence is rising, which may help bolster Solana’s longer-term prospects and shape market sentiment – as evidenced by fluctuations in the price of Solana. Solana uses AI for network efficiency Solana’s contributions to artificial intelligence do not stop at decentralised apps. The network also uses AI for its internal processes, with the Solana Foundation developing ML models for validator clustering and network optimisation. Using traffic patterns and predicting possible blockages, algorithms help maintain the lower latency Solana is known for, even at busy times. This increases the network’s resilience for applications like live dashboards powered by AI or data processing systems on the blockchain. Ecosystem investment AI momentum Throughout last year, there was a great deal of venture capital investment in Solana-based projects that used AI add-ons. Important, funded projects include: STARDEER formed the “STARDUST Fund” with $10 million earmarked for Solana ecosystem projects that focus on building intelligent backbone solutions. Seek Protocol announced the development of a Solana-based AR + AI platform, reportedly valued at $8.89 million. Pioneer AI Foundry: Began executing a disbursement strategy for investing in Solana-based AI-dedicated, decentralised educational tools. The funding helps build infrastructure for functions that drive on-chain activity – like AI model training, decentralised inference, data lineage and provenance, and more. Closing thoughts Transitions in Solana’s infrastructural, AI-transformable blockchain capabilities are changing the ecosystem’s scope. The architecture provides for services that demand speed, scalability and cost-effectiveness. Its features will help create next-generation, AI-dedicated, decentralised systems; effectively becoming serverless AI. With increasing adoption of AI models with blockchain implementation, Solana is set to become a foundation where information, logic, and algorithms co-exist. The ongoing development of advanced intelligent infrastructure on the Solana network provides an opportunity to redefine perceptions of changes to Solana’s price. WWW.RESETERA.COMWith Mario Kart World Tour coming out, do you still intend on playing MK8D and its massive library of tracks on your Switch 2?Khanimus Avenger Oct 25, 2017 45,690 Greater Vancouver MK8 Deluxe is to-date the most expansive, complete, and comprehensive Mario Kart game in the series. It benefitted alot not just from the additions made from the original WiiU release, but also by adapting alot of the tracks made for Mario Kart Tour on mobile, along with new and remade tracks. It now has an overwhelming 96 courses across 24 cups. For alot of younger players, this is Mario Kart. And has been for maybe their whole lives. Remap's Patrick Klepek talked about how his kid saw a trailer for World Tour and exclaimed "MARIO KART 2!" Like, that shit's wild. But with World Tour coming out, along with a fundamental shift in how the game is structured, who is going to keep MK8D in their rotation? Are you expecting a number of those tracks to get ported over or would you rather just see WT expand with its own roster of tracks? Jubilant Duck Member Oct 21, 2022 9,089 With a resolution upgrade pack, sure. Would much prefer they focus efforts on DLC for World tho. That could become even more expansion than 8D. NekoNeko Coward Oct 26, 2017 20,100 i played it so much i can play the tracks blind. i think i'm good for a while. Neifirst Member Oct 27, 2017 423 Out of the old already. I was so excited when Nintendo surprised with the 48-track booster a few years back but I ended up putting very little time into it despite pouring hundred of hours into the original tracks and the good DLC ones like the F-Zero and Animal Crossing-themed courses. Dinjooh The Fallen Oct 25, 2017 3,094 Already sold the game. For quite a nice amount too. Renna Hazel Member Oct 27, 2017 13,048 I was over Mario Kart 8 (and the series in general) for a long time now. I wanted them to do something fresh for the series and it seems like World is that. I have no plans to play Kart 8 unless someone else really wants to. I have every intention of diving into World. Please have a good battle mode... The Unsent Member Oct 25, 2017 22,145 I would probably still go back to Mark Kart 8, World looks like a new direction. hog Member Mar 9, 2021 1,105 There's definitely still a place for it and I think the team have designed MKW with 8D still being an option in mind. It's a perfectly refined classic Mario Kart experience and World is doing this whole new thing. Theecliff Member Oct 28, 2017 3,266 a lot of my friends won't have a switch 2 at launch and MK8D has always been something we can all play online so yeah i'll keep it installed for that reason. cw_sasuke Member Oct 27, 2017 29,857 Of course - dont think Nintendo could release anything that would make MK8D or Smash Bros. Ultimate obsolete. So yeah both of them will be a mainstay on Switch 2 as well, especially since they still look and run great on 4K TVs. Edit. Though to be fair, this might change once im invested in MKW. joffocakes Member Nov 15, 2017 1,935 Yep, it's still great fun and I doubt all the friends I play with will have a Switch 2 right away. Teppic Member Oct 25, 2017 768 I haven't even played all the dlc cups yet. Marmoka Member Oct 27, 2017 6,426 I had enough MK8D for a while, time to move on to the next one digit_zero Member Oct 27, 2017 2,860 Most likely no, but I also never bought the expanded course set since I was already not playing the game, so it doesn't really have much to do with World coming out - I was just done with MK8 Qikz Member Oct 25, 2017 13,681 I still play every other Mario Kart every now and then so I'll still play this. There's too many courses that I love to not want to go back to it. Noppie Member Oct 27, 2017 14,603 I've played 8 for 11 years. It's time to go. Also the game is just called World, no Tour. eraFROMAN One Winged Slayer Member Mar 12, 2019 3,439 Not everyone I play with will have Switch 2 + World for a while, so 8D will still be quite relevant in that regard OP OP Khanimus Avenger Oct 25, 2017 45,690 Greater Vancouver edit: double post OP OP Khanimus Avenger Oct 25, 2017 45,690 Greater Vancouver Actually now that I think about it, what Mario Kart has had the lasting legacy after a sequel has come out? Protoman200X The Fallen Oct 25, 2017 9,484 N. Vancouver, BC, Canada I'm not going to get a Switch 2, so I'll be sticking with MK8 Deluxe in the foreseeable future. This entry returned to a more traditional Mario Kart format (my guess is due to Double Dash's low sales), and it focuses on bonus modes and mini-games. It worked for the games favour, since everyone loved it: mainly Boss Battles, since it incorporates various challenges without making the mode feel repetitive over time. Each boss battle is unique, so it is not just to race one big character and win a challenge, like the Big Bully boss, where your main goal is to throw the bully off the course. Last edited: 50 minutes ago EinBear Member Oct 27, 2017 1,957 I love MK8, but I've been playing it since the Wii U. I'm ready to move on. Firebrand Member Oct 25, 2017 4,960 Unlikely to get a S2 price with the insane pricing here in Scandinavia, and also only now picked up the DLC on sale. So yeah, it's got some life left. Up the resolution to 4k/60 or 1440p/120 and I would absolutely play this for another year or two. MatildaMuggins Member Oct 29, 2017 1,106 Australia is it controversial to say that I don't think tracks amount to content? Especially when so many of them aren't up to the same standard as the base game. It's like when Gran Turismo 5 had 1000 cars but most of them were PS2 quality. Absolutely no reason to go back to MK8 when this is a completely iterative franchise. BasilZero Member Oct 25, 2017 39,675 Omni I've already played through over 40 hours of the game and did all of the tracks/races in every speed except for 200cc lol I'm done with MK8D - time for World! KillstealWolf One Winged Slayer Avenger Oct 27, 2017 18,293 MK8 isn't that fun to play I'll be honest, the gameplay just feels off... if the gameplay is better with MKW, I'll be sticking with that one, otherwise its probably back to MKW again (Mario Kart Wii, best playing game in the series.) Ashes of Dreams Fallen Guardian of Unshakable Resolve Member May 22, 2020 19,297 Probably. I don't play Mario Kart all the time but it's a LOT of tracks.
