• GTA 6 news tipped for PlayStation as fans think Sony is a deal done
    www.dailystar.co.uk
We've heard before that PlayStation may have won the marketing rights to GTA 6, and that same rumour has cropped up again this week here's all we know, and why it mattersTech09:00, 22 Mar 2025Would you buy a console for GTA 6?(Image: Rockstar)Grand Theft Auto 6 is still slated to arrive this year, but the lack of marketing has some fans climbing the walls and some building entire maps. While the closest we may get now is some of the lighting features in GTA 6, some fans have put two and two together to make what they think is four after a content creator teased more PlayStation collaborations to come in 2025.Article continues belowWith the account suggesting a new marketing deal is coming for PlayStation, fans have assumed it's something related to Rockstar and it's not the first time we've heard it.Over on the GTA 6 subreddit, fans spotted a post on X( formerly Twitter) from Detective Seeds, a YouTuber, which said "There are 2 more Playstation partnerships that have not been announced yet and should happen before summer show."It follows reports that People Can Fly, co-developer on Gears of War E-Day, has signed a deal for a new project, and when pressed, Detective Seeds suggested at least one of the deals includes a heavy marketing component. That's naturally set fans into overdrive on Reddit, and while some have joked it'll be for 2K's other crime-focused adventure launching this year (Mafia: The Old Country), but there is a history of PlayStation partnering with Rockstar for console bundles and the like.GTA 6 is still coming this year (apparently)(Image: Rockstar)So, why does it matter? In truth, for many people it might not if you're an Xbox gamer, you'll know GTA is coming. But for anyone that doesn't have a console capable of playing GTA 6 yet, seeing the PlayStation logo at the end of an advert might be all they need to see to make their decision. In fact, they might never even bother to check out Xbox as a result, so having that kind of sway is likely to be important for Sony or Microsoft when it comes to the marketing plan rollout from Rockstar.Expect those rights to have been expensive, too, given just how massive GTA 6 could be for the gaming industry and beyond. It could also mean that GTA 6 on PC gets knocked further down the line, but we'll hopefully hear more soon. For more on GTA 6, check out when AI predicts the game will launch, as well as the series' best celebrity cameos so far.Article continues belowFor the latest breaking news and stories from across the globe from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletters.

Top 10 online co-op video games for modern consoles and PC Readers FeatureGameCentralPublished March 22, 2025 9:00am Left 4 Dead is still a classic (Valve)A reader who is unable to meet friends and families for local co-op recommends the 10 best co-operative games for playing with them online.Whilst I enjoy a good single-player game as much as anyone, there is still nothing quite like sharing that experience with a family member or friend.Due to geographical reasons Im pretty much limited to online co-op these days, but there are still plenty of great options available to choose from. So, for those of you in the same boat as me, here are my top 10 recommendations for online co-op games that you can still play right now on modern consoles and/or PC.10th BattleBlock TheaterA 2D platformer featuring great level design and puzzles, specifically designed to encourage co-operation, BattleBlock Theater is also one of very few games that consistently made me laugh thanks to both its comical gameplay and funny cut scenes. This can often be found in Steam sales for the bargain price of about 3.9th Halo 3The majority of the Halo campaigns are pretty good, whether played alone or with friends, but I think the popular opinion amongst fans is that Halo 3 is still the best the series has to offer. The campaign hardly seems to stop for breath throughout its 8 to 10 hour runtime, and from the fight through the Covenant armada to mad warthog escape of the final mission its full of memorable moments that are even better when played co-op.Tied 8th It Takes Two & Split FictionGames designed from the ground up as true co-op experiences are still far more uncommon than youd expect, but developer Hazelight Studios seems to be carving out a nice niche for themselves thanks to games like It Takes Two and Split Fiction. Both games constantly introduce new ideas and gameplay styles throughout their runtime, but importantly never lose sight of the fact that they are designed to be played together. Ill certainly be checking out whatever they come up with next!7th Portal 2Ive enjoyed very few entries in the puzzle genre over the years, but the two Portal games are amongst the rare exceptions. Of course, most people realise theyre excellent single-player titles, but Im constantly surprised at how many people dont know Portal 2 features a separate story designed to be played co-op. Considering just how well designed and rife for comedy the co-op missions are thats a real shame and I urge anyone to give it a try if they have the chance to.6th Borderlands 2I must admit, I never really got on with the original Borderlands, but this vastly superior sequel provided dozens of hours of entertaining online gaming. The more versatile skill trees and better mission design are welcome improvements, but its the genuinely funny script that focuses on the brilliant character of Handsome Jack that really sets this game apart from all the other entries in the series.5th Divinity: Original Sin 2Until another game that features later on this list was released, Divinity: Original Sin 2 was possibly my favourite role-playing game and certainly my favourite that features online co-op. The story, characters, combat, and level of freedom are all top notch and sharing it all with up to three friends makes it even more fun.4th ReturnalArguably the best PlayStation 5 exclusive, Returnal is a third person rouguelike shooter with incredible shooting mechanics and some of the most satisfying traversal youll find anywhere. The game is, however, incredibly tough, and thus the best way to play it is to team up with an online co-op partner to swing the odds at least a little more in your favour!3rd Baldurs Gate 3Baldurs Gate 3 is arguably the best role-playing game ever made, with a myriad of complex systems and an almost unfathomable level of freedom that allows players to shape the world in whatever way they choose. When you add the unpredictability of other players making their own choices on top, its simply an incredible experience.2nd Left 4 Dead & Left 4 Dead 2There are plenty of shooters that allow online co-op but the two Left 4 Dead games remain the pinnacle of the genre, and there are two aspects that really set these games apart. The first is the excellent enemy design, that forces players to stick together and co-operate, whilst the second is the final chapter of each mission that tasks players with surviving for a set amount of time before trying to escape to safety. The mad dash at the end, as it suddenly becomes every man for themselves, has provided countless moments of comedy over the years and kept us coming back time and time again.1st Dark SoulsIve listed the original Dark Souls as its my personal favourite, but this really represents the entire Dark Souls series, as well as Bloodborne and Elden Ring. The FromSoftware games are all great single-[layer games that are only enhanced by the clever implementation of online co-op, that allows you to summon assistance whenever youre struggling to defeat a tough enemy or traverse a difficult section of the game. When you and a buddy finally take down that boss after the tenth attempt its an exhilarating experience.More TrendingHonourable mentions: Gears Of War series, A Way Out, Salt And Sanctuary, and BroForce.By reader drlowdon Elden Ring is slightly easier with friends (Bandai Namco)The readers features do not necessarily represent the views of GameCentral or Metro. You can submit your own 500 to 600-word reader feature at any time, which if used will be published in the next appropriate weekend slot. • Saturns Famous Rings Will Disappear From View This Weekend
    gizmodo.com
By Passant Rabie Published March 22, 2025 | Comments (0) | NASAs Cassini spacecraft captured this image of Saturn and its rings. NASA/JPL-Caltech/Space Science Institute Saturn will temporarily lose its iconic look from our viewpoint on Earth, appearing as a pale, yellow sphere without its swirling rings shrouding the gas giant. The billions of rocky and icy chunks swirling around Saturn will disappear from our viewpoint on Sunday, March 23 as the thin edges of the planets rings are aimed toward Earth, seemingly vanishing from sight. The rare phenomenon occurs every 13 to 15 years, with Earth passing through Saturns ring plane. The last time Earth got this rare view of the gas giant was in 2009. Saturn is surrounded by billions of swarming pieces of comets, asteroids, and broken-off fragments of moons that were caught by the planets orbit. The exquisite ring system extends up to 175,000 miles (282,000 kilometers) from the planet, and is made up of tiny, dust-sized icy grains to chunks as big as a house, according to NASA. Similarly to Earth, Saturns axis is tilted by 26.73 degrees. As it orbits the Sun, Saturns tilt shifts in relation to Earth, causing its rings to disappear from our view as our planet crosses their plane. When Saturn is tilted toward Earth, we can see the upper side of its rings, and we see the lower side of the rings when the planet is tilted toward us. Between these two phases, however, is when the rings vanish from our view. Using a powerful telescope, one could spot a very thin line going around the middle of Saturn. The plane crossing will begin at around 12:04 p.m. ET on Sunday, according to in-the-sky.org. Saturns rings wont come into full view from Earth for a few months, and we may not get to see them again until November, according to earth.com.Skywatchers in mid-southern latitudes will have the best chance at spotting the naked Saturn, if they can spot it from the morning twilight shining over the eastern horizon, according to space.com. Those in mid-northern latitudes, however, will have a hard time seeing Saturn as the planet will be close to the Sun at pre-dawn and below the slanted morning ecliptic. Although its not ideal sky watching conditions for most, the celestial phenomenon is a rare glimpse of how the planets move around our shared star.Daily NewsletterYou May Also Like By Isaac Schultz Published March 21, 2025 By Isaac Schultz Published March 19, 2025 By Margherita Bassi Published March 17, 2025 By Isaac Schultz Published March 17, 2025 By Isaac Schultz Published March 13, 2025 By Isaac Schultz Published March 13, 2025
