They've also just released their roadmap of fixes and improvements for Q2 2025, so there's little to no reason to play it in the current state. Michelle Williams knows balancing her acting career with being a mom is tough.During a Monday appearance on the "Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard" podcast, Williams, 44, shared how she juggles life as a mother of four while keeping her acting career on track."Kids are such great life checkers. They force you to put your best self in front of them," she told podcast host Dax Shepard. "You can't abdicate your life and your work and your own desires, but you do have to put them in check and figure out which master you're going to serve."The "Brokeback Mountain" star welcomed her first child, Matilda, in 2005 with her then-boyfriend, the late actor Heath Ledger. In 2020, she married director Thomas Kail, with whom she shares three children.For her, being a working mom is about striking a careful balance — never letting her kids or her career go "unattended for too long.""Because the truth is, if work is going well, somebody else is taking care of the kids. Hundertwasser’s home in the Kaurinui Valley, located just 20 minutes north of Kawakawa and less than a three-hour drive from Auckland, is to be the only one of his homes around the world that is open to the public. I was given a tour by volunteers from Living Hundertwasser, including Richard Smart, who worked closely with Hundertwasser for eight years and now represents the non-profit Hundertwasser Foundation in New Zealand. Born Friedrich Stowasser in Austria in 1928, Hundertwasser was a world-famous painter and architect, renowned for his radical views and eccentric approach to design. His childhood, marked by the devastations of World War II, led him to find solace in painting alternative worlds filled with nature, vibrant colours and abstract forms that would later influence the trajectory of his environmentalism and architecture.1 The Eyeslit, Kaurinui, 2025.© Image:  Richard Smart In 1976, he settled in New Zealand, purchasing a dairy farm in the Kaurinui Valley with the intention of setting nature free.2 He did just that: over two decades planting 150,000 trees and widening the Kaurinui Stream that flows through the farm. His philosophy is embodied in every aspect of the property and, despite recent health-and-safety upgrades, Hundertwasser’s dwellings remain as he left them, down to his last shopping list and paintbrushes left on the table. The tour begins at the Eyeslit, a Hundertwasser design built after his death, replacing the old decaying farmhouse. Aligned with his distinctive style, it features vibrant pink walls, colourful mosaics and columns reminiscent of his iconic Kawakawa toilets. The Eyeslit serves as a communal space for a pre-tour introduction to Hundertwasser and his legacy that lives on in Kaurinui. The next stop is The Boatshed, a gabled timber building, home to his boat, La Giudecca. Across a bridge over the Kaurinui Stream is The Cave, a space dug into the hillside, containing a bench and hundreds of wētā. Returning over the stream, we arrive at The Pigsty, Hundertwasser’s primary dwelling, which, true to its name, is a former pigsty converted into a habitable space. Inside, a hallway stretches the length of the home, with the kitchen, dining and living room, and a combined bedroom and bathroom branching off. It is built from recycled glass bottles and natural materials, such as earth bricks and logs laid on their sides, extending from inside to outside, mortared in place with a lime, cement and sawdust mixture. With its spontaneously vegetated green roof, felled tree trunk columns and uneven interior floors, the dwelling echoes his philosophy that buildings, like human skin, should grow and wrinkle over time, evolving alongside nature.3 Mountain Hut, Kaurinui, 1994/95.©  Image:  Richard Smart The Bottlehaus, originally the farm’s milking shed, is Hundertwasser’s other main residence. The interior is filled with natural light from the polycarbonate skylight and bottle walls, providing perfect conditions for painting. Not yet included in the tour because of their distance are the Railway Hut and Mountain Hut. Smart recounts how he and his children would hike up to the Mountain Hut, spending the night in the home, built three-quarters underground. The walls and floor are clay earth and the roof, covered in wild greenery, sits just above the ground’s surface. Hundertwasser’s alignment with Māori culture is reflected throughout his homes; adorning the walls are timber-carved tiki and the koru flag he designed for New Zealand, symbolising a unified national identity. Hundertwasser was inherently nomadic, moving between buildings based on their various functions, inadvertently resembling the organisation of customary Māori papakāinga settlements, where buildings serve distinct purposes. Māori would move between kāinga seasonally, leaving structures built from natural materials to decay and return to the earth. At the tour’s final stop, the Exhibition Building, a letter from Hundertwasser’s friend A. D. Fagan in 1974 describes him as a guardian of the land, a sentiment akin to Māori identification as kaitiaki – guardians of the whenua. Before his death, Hundertwasser expressed his desire for Māori artists to have equal opportunities in New Zealand. This wish was realised in the Whangārei Hundertwasser Art Centre and Wairau Māori Art Gallery, completed in 2022.4 Throughout the property, Hundertwasser’s interventions – from a waterwheel and outdoor bath to timber plank bridges and ladders feeding into ponds – speak to a lifestyle that reinforces his commitment to living in harmony with nature. In contrast to his bold European architecture, Hundertwasser’s New Zealand home is more subdued and organic, blending seamlessly into the forest, indistinguishable from the natural environment. As Living Hundertwasser volunteer Clive Jackson explains, “He wanted to let the colours of nature speak.” He allowed nature to exist in its most wild and natural state, supporting his 1983 Peace Treaty with Nature, where he asserted that humanity must put itself behind ecological barriers so the earth can regenerate.5 As an example, he considered trees to be fellow ‘tenants’ on the property, who ‘paid rent’ through their provision of oxygen, beauty and joy.6 Hundertwasser died in 2000 and, at his own request, was buried under a tulip tree at Kaurinui, his body returning to the earth to nourish the ‘tree tenant’. This final act encapsulates his lifelong philosophy of humanity in harmony with nature and, as such, he lives on through the property. Hundertwasser famously stated, “We are only guests of nature and must behave accordingly. Man is the most dangerous pest ever to devastate the earth.”7 In a world where modern architecture is disrupting the natural environment and climate, Kaurinui offers a blueprint for a return to ‘original nature’ – a more sustainable, symbiotic relationship with the earth, and one that resonates with our country’s indigenous identity and the role we must assume as kaitiaki, guardians, of the natural world. It’s giving Fortnite, and I still have so much love for the world and characters of Overwatch, despite all its troubles, that I would rather Blizzard spotlight them instead of other properties. It feels like we’re getting a new collaboration event every other month or so, and you could easily have a match made up entirely of Overwatch heroes cosplaying other characters. I’m sad that so much Overwatch 2 content feels like ads for other properties while the world Blizzard built remains underutilized. But as long as this is the way things are, I guess I’m glad that at least the skins are pretty good this time around. Usually Hoyoverse is pretty good by abiding by maintenance times. We don’t usually get extended maintenance, but it does end early sometimes! What’s new in Honkai: Star Rail version 3.3? The trailer below predominantly features Hyacine, a Wind and Remembrance user, and Cipher, a Quantum Nihility character. But you’ll also start seeing the Amphoreus story ramp up (even more than before somehow), with Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae making an appearance alongside some intense combat scenes. Phainon himself also seems to play a big role here — though you won’t be able to pull for him in this patch. On a much lighter note, this patch will bring back another Baseballer combat event, a racing event, and updates to Divergent Universe: Protean Hero. That’s admittedly not a lot of events for a six-week patch, but we’ll see how it shakes out.

FX's highly acclaimed hit series The Bear returns to Hulu in June for its fourth season, picking up right after the events of season three, when Carmy received the Chicago Tribune's review of his fine-dining restaurant. The main cast—Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Ayo Edebiri, to name a few—are reprising their roles in pushing The Bear forward. All 10 episodes will drop on June 25. Call Her Alex (June 10) is a Hulu original docuseries following "Call Her Daddy" podcast host Alex Cooper in preparation for her first tour with a behind-the-scenes look at the events that shaped her journey. Similarly, Barbara Walters Tell Me Everything (June 23) uses archival footage to explore Walters' life and career as a journalist and host in a male-dominated industry. On the film side, The Actor (June 30) is a crime mystery based on Donald E. Westlake's novel "Memory," starring Andre Holland as an actor with memory loss and Gemma Chan as a costume designer in the small town he ends up in. Learn More At the height of the dot-com boom, adding “.com” to a company’s name was enough to send its stock price soaring — even if the business had no real customers, revenue or path to profitability. Today, history is repeating itself. Swap “.com” for “AI,” and the story sounds eerily familiar. Companies are racing to sprinkle “AI” into their pitch decks, product descriptions and domain names, hoping to ride the hype. As reported by Domain Name Stat, registrations for “.ai” domains surged about 77.1% year-over-year in 2024, driven by startups and incumbents alike rushing to associate themselves with artificial intelligence — whether they have a true AI advantage or not. The late 1990s made one thing clear: Using breakthrough technology isn’t enough. The companies that survived the dot-com crash weren’t chasing hype — they were solving real problems and scaling with purpose. AI is no different. It will reshape industries, but the winners won’t be those slapping “AI” on a landing page — they’ll be the ones cutting through the hype and focusing on what matters. The first steps? Start small, find your wedge and scale deliberately. Start small: Find your wedge before you scale One of the most costly mistakes of the dot-com era was trying to go big too soon — a lesson AI product builders today can’t afford to ignore. Take eBay, for example. It began as a simple online auction site for collectibles — starting with something as niche as Pez dispensers. Early users loved it because it solved a very specific problem: It connected hobbyists who couldn’t find each other offline. Only after dominating that initial vertical did eBay expand into broader categories like electronics, fashion and, eventually, almost anything you can buy today. Compare that to Webvan, another dot-com era startup with a much different strategy. Webvan aimed to revolutionize grocery shopping with online ordering and rapid home delivery — all at once, in multiple cities. It spent hundreds of millions of dollars building massive warehouses and complex delivery fleets before it had strong customer demand. When growth didn’t materialize fast enough, the company collapsed under its own weight. The pattern is clear: Start with a sharp, specific user need. Focus on a narrow wedge you can dominate. Expand only when you have proof of strong demand. For AI product builders, this means resisting the urge to build an “AI that does everything.” Take, for example, a generative AI tool for data analysis. Are you targeting product managers, designers or data scientists? Are you building for people who don’t know SQL, those with limited experience or seasoned analysts? Each of those users has very different needs, workflows and expectations. Starting with a narrow, well-defined cohort — like technical project managers (PMs) with limited SQL experience who need quick insights to guide product decisions — allows you to deeply understand your user, fine-tune the experience and build something truly indispensable. From there, you can expand intentionally to adjacent personas or capabilities. In the race to build lasting gen AI products, the winners won’t be the ones who try to serve everyone at once — they’ll be the ones who start small, and serve someone incredibly well. Own your data moat: Build compounding defensibility early Starting small helps you find product-market fit. But once you gain traction, your next priority is to build defensibility — and in the world of gen AI, that means owning your data. The companies that survived the dot-com boom didn’t just capture users — they captured proprietary data. Amazon, for example, didn’t stop at selling books. They tracked purchases and product views to improve recommendations, then used regional ordering data to optimize fulfillment. By analyzing buying patterns across cities and zip codes, they predicted demand, stocked warehouses smarter and streamlined shipping routes — laying the foundation for Prime’s two-day delivery, a key advantage competitors couldn’t match. None of it would have been possible without a data strategy baked into the product from day one. Google followed a similar path. Every query, click and correction became training data to improve search results — and later, ads. They didn’t just build a search engine; they built a real-time feedback loop that constantly learned from users, creating a moat that made their results and targeting harder to beat. The lesson for gen AI product builders is clear: Long-term advantage won’t come from simply having access to a powerful model — it will come from building proprietary data loops that improve their product over time. Today, anyone with enough resources can fine-tune an open-source large language model (LLM) or pay to access an API. What’s much harder — and far more valuable — is gathering high-signal, real-world user interaction data that compounds over time. If you’re building a gen AI product, you need to ask critical questions early: What unique data will we capture as users interact with us? How can we design feedback loops that continuously refine the product? Is there domain-specific data we can collect (ethically and securely) that competitors won’t have? Take Duolingo, for example. With GPT-4, they’ve gone beyond basic personalization. Features like “Explain My Answer” and AI role-play create richer user interactions — capturing not just answers, but how learners think and converse. Duolingo combines this data with their own AI to refine the experience, creating an advantage competitors can’t easily match. In the gen AI era, data should be your compounding advantage. Companies that design their products to capture and learn from proprietary data will be the ones that survive and lead. Conclusion: It’s a marathon, not a sprint The dot-com era showed us that hype fades fast, but fundamentals endure. The gen AI boom is no different. The companies that thrive won’t be the ones chasing headlines — they’ll be the ones solving real problems, scaling with discipline and building real moats. Nintendo's gimmicks have historically proven to be hit and miss, but I see a shift ever since the Switch launched in 2017. Sure, it still had the IR sensor but hybrid gaming and gyro aiming (which technically already existed, but Switch established it as a mainstay) were legitimate forward progressions, and Switch 2 seems to offer even more legitimate innovation with both gameshare and mouse mode. I foresee both of these features becoming permanent fixtures in future consoles, and much like gyro aiming, changing the way we engage with video games. I truly believe mouse mode is something gamers will never want to give up once they've experienced it's benefits (especially since, unlike innovations of yesteryear, it doesn't replace the traditional experience, it merely enhances it as an option for those who want it). Thoughts? JaxonH More and different ways to play are exciting, especially if they're built into the hardware. For me, Drag x Drive was one of the highlights of the Switch 2 event at the start of April. I'm all for mouse mode options, whether they're cute and complementary or integral to a game, but it's on Nintendo to make it indispensable. The tech is certainly cheap enough to integrate into any Joy-Con-style controller from now on. I'm not convinced it's going to fundamentally change how we approach gaming, though. Will Mouse Mode be comfortable for multiple hours? They work like mice, sure, but ergonomically, that's not their main function. I also remember thinking every pad would have a built-in pointer after the Wiimote. It's affordable, intuitive tech, so why not include that option? And yet we live in a world where the Xbox pad still doesn't have gyro. - Ed. "out of the running" I recently finished Ace Attorney Investigations 2 on Switch, and wow, what a ride! I’m so happy it finally got localized for the West, even if it did take 13 years. Got me thinking about other games that haven’t seen the light of day outside Japan. Yes, there are some obvious frontrunners like Mother 3 and Dragon Quest 10 that I’m sure we all would love to see get localized, but I’m talking more about lesser-known gems. As a big fan of adventure games, that new Tokimeki Memorial remaster caught my eye, but unfortunately I’m no Japanese speaker at this stage, so I guess that puts me out of the running for now. I’m also still waiting for Yo-kai Watch 4, as well as my pipe dream Starfy 1-4 localizations… How about you all? Any Japan-exclusives you’ve been eager to see come West? We'll see how it works, but I do have plans to conduct NL staff meetings over GameChat. Moderating anatomically exaggerated doodles is something Nintendo never wants to do again, so I don't see Pictochat returning. But StreetPass is the (3)DS feature we really need, Oswald.
