Two hikers accidentally discovered a treasure trove in Czech Republic . While taking a stroll in the forests surrounding Zvičina Hill in the Krkonoše Mountains near Poland's border, they spotted an aluminium can and an iron box protruding slightly above the surface in a stone mound. The containers contained about 600 gold coins and a stunning assortment of gold artifacts. Discovery of this treasure worth more than has drawn attention of researchers, arising questions about both the origin of the coins and how did they end up in such a remote location.Tracing the origin of coinsAccording to the report by Vojtěch Brádle, a numismatist from the Museum of Eastern Bohemia, the majority of the coins were minted between 1808 and 1915. They originate from the Austria-Hungarian Empire, particularly under the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I. Some of the coins feature countermarks minted in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenians after the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The 598 coins cover a broad historical period, containing currency from France, Belgium, the Ottoman Empire, and Russia too. The range of provenances makes it difficult to track how the coins got to where they were, or just why they were stashed away at all. “It is hard to say whether it was Czech, German, or Jewish gold,” said Petr Grulich, director of the Museum of Eastern Bohemia, according to Dailymail.Theories about the hiding placeThere are several theories and speculation about how these coins and artifacts were hidden in such a remote location. One theory suggests that the items were concealed during Nazi Germany's occupation of Czechoslovakia.Following the Munich Agreement of 1938, large numbers of Jews and Czechs fled their homes in the annexed Sudetenland to escape persecution. Some historians believe that the treasure was buried during this time in an effort to protect it from the invading Nazi forces.

‘GTA 6’ Delay: Take-Two Chief Strauss Zelnick Breaks Down Rockstar’s Decision to Shift Game to Next Year, Industry Price Increases
Take-Two Interactive reported its latest earnings Thursday, which included a writedown of more than billion. But despite that hit, the biggest news for the company still came out nearly two weeks ahead of the financial results: the publisher’s highly anticipated Rockstar Games-developed “Grand Theft Auto 6” would be shifting from a planned fall 2025 release to a May 26, 2026 launch.
The choice, which was announced May 2, was made before Take-Two revealed these full fiscal 2025 resultsand projections for its Fiscal 2026, but the company has not disclosed exactly at what point Rockstar decided “GTA 6” would need to be moved. As of February, the company had still been publicly eyeing that fall window.

“So we don’t talk about when we make decisions around here,” Take-Two chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick told Variety Thursday ahead of the company’s earnings call. “And obviously, the net bookings that are expected for Fiscal ’26 are lower without the release of ‘GTA 6,’ that goes without saying. But we haven’t actually parsed what the specific felt is, although analysts have speculated. I think the key point to bear in mind is, once again, we’re setting a record, which is what we said we would do. We certainly expect growth in Fiscal ’27. This company is in extraordinarily sound shape and well positioned both for the challenges and opportunities ahead.”

Wall Street forecast a loss of earnings per shareof 5 cents on billion in revenue for Take-Two’s January-March results, according to analyst consensus data provided by LSEG. On Thursday, Take-Two reported billion in net bookings. GAAP net loss was billion, or per share. That loss included a writedown of billion, though Take-Two did not disclose which division within the company accounted for that large hit and declined to comment when asked.
For the year-long period between April 1, 2025-March 31, 2026, Take-Two is projecting net bookings between to billion.
Regarding the potential pricing for “GTA 6,” as well as the rest of Take-Two’s games moving forward, Zelnick said he’s not letting recent moves made by competitors affect what Take-Two decides to do.
“Well it’s true that some of our competitors have talked about higher prices and variable pricing. The rubric that informs our decision making is that we need and want to deliver way more value than whatever we charge consumers,” Zelnick said. “We think the consumer experiences the intersection of the thing itself. How great is the property with how much you pay for it? I think you know that anecdotally about yourself. We all feel that way. So we’re very mindful that it’s our job to deliver enormous value to consumers. We think we do just that.”

Artist claims that Bungie plagiarized her art/graphic design language in the Marathon Alpha

N²the Marathon alpha released recently and its environments are covered with assets lifted from poster designs i made in 2017. @Bungie @josephacross
xcancel.com
Here are bigger versions of the examples that she lists:
This isn't the first time Bungie has been using art without crediting the artist. A similar situation happened in Destiny 2 a couple of years ago.
In that situation, Bungie at least reached out to apologize to the artist and worked out a deal to compensate them
Destiny 2 makers apologize for ‘mistaken’ use of fan art in cutscene
Bungie says it will compensate the graphic designer
www.polygon.com
I hope ANTIREAL can get some similar recognition and compensation at the bare minimum.
I'm curious how common this kind of art theft is within the games industry.

Straight up copying "Aleph Dark Space haulage logistics" is wild. Should be pretty open and shut.
Like usually you could make some excuses about "Well, a double arrow symbol is going to look similar etc." but that's just a whole ass sentence copied, no ifs or buts.

This is extremely blatant with the 1:1 ripping of exact design elements. There's literally zero excuses in this case.
But I wouldn't call the overall design language very unique/original, it's very "Designer's Republic" going back to the 90s.
They could just have made their own take on this style of design and they'd be fine, if unoriginal. But straight ripping elements makes Bungie look insanely bad in this case.

I dont know about Bungie's art director situation but often when I worked on assets I would be given mood boards for inspiration and be expected to basically, well, do just this
Its most likely multiple layers of contract work that allowed this to happen
I wouldnt put it squarely on Bungie for happening, though it is indeed on Bungie to fix it

Wow. The art & graphic design style of the game was the only thing interesting to me about it, so now I'm just gonna go to the source for that art. Just followed this artist on Bluesky and will definitely buy prints of their work, if they sell any.
EDIT: Was just scrolling through images on their site, and damn. There's my next decade of phone wallpapers sorted...

While it might have been one person responsible for the plagiarism, the art style for the entire game ended up riffing on this persons art seemingly without credit.
It's just kinda bizarre that they presumably built their style guide ripping the artist off, and then also directly ripped the artist off.

Helldivers 2 dev says it’s starting work on next game, but won’t abandon Helldivers
Arrowhead Games Studios CEO Shams Jorjani wants to ensure Helldivers 2 players know that, while the studio has “some really cool concepts” for its next game, it won’t be abandoning Helldivers 2 anytime soon.
As spotted by VG247, Jorjani messaged Helldivers 2 players in a Discord server about the game and what the studio has cooking next. “he wonderful thing is that thanks to the amazing support of you FINE people Arrowhead’s future is quite bright and we have the freedom to explore some really cool concepts that we couldn’t have otherwise. Game 6will happen the way it will happen thanks to you,” he wrote. His words prompted a bit of worry from players thinking that this meant the studio would be moving on from supporting Helldivers 2, but he told them to hold their horses.
“ah. it’s ALL Helldivers 2 for now. a very, very small team will spin up something later this year and go at it sloowly. Helldivers is our main focus and will be for a loooong time,” Jorjani wrote. How long a “loooong time” will be isn’t immediately clear; Helldivers 2 is just over a year old, which is quite young for a successful live service game, so it could theoretically have a long life ahead of it.
Helldivers 2 was the third-highest-selling game in 2024 and Sony’s fastest-selling game ever, pushing 12 million units in just 12 weeks. It had quite the roller coaster ride on Steam, where Sony instituted then quickly pulled an Uno Reverse card on a policy requiring Steam players have a PSN account to play it. Jorjani wrote, “The next game is 100% funded by ourselves so we’ll call 100% of those shots,” in response to a user asking if the studio’s next game would also suffer from being region-locked in terms of being purchasable, a byproduct of Sony’s PSN requirement.
Jorjani’s comments come after Helldivers 2 received a fleshy upgrade to its Illuminate enemies. The game also got several balance tweaks, which you can read about in the patch notes.

Obsidian Announces Its 2025 Roadmap For Avowed, Update 1.4 Patch Notes Revealed
Obsidian has announced the 2025 roadmap for Avowed, which consists of three big updates for the rest of the year, the first of which is out now with update 1.4.
By the end of the year, Avowed will include a new game-plus mode, a photo mode, NPCs will have new abilities and behaviors, players will get new character presets, Godlike features, weapons, and the ability to change your appearance in the world. But that's all to come in the Summer and Fall 2025 updates.
As for today's Spring 2025 update with patch 1.4, Obsidian has added an arachnophobia mode, mouse and keyboard support for Xbox console players, fog of war improvements, more gold and crafting materials, and a slew of bug fixes and other tweaks that Obsidian gets into in the full patch notes.
In a blog post about the roadmap and today's update on its website, Obsidian also called out that it is working to add localized language versions of Avowed for Korean, Japanese, and French-speaking players. The studio doesn't say when those versions will be available, but is "committed to delivering these updates as soon as they are ready, and we deeply appreciate your patience and support as we make sure they meet the quality you deserve."
Wccftech's Alessio Palumbo enjoyed Avowed when it arrived earlier this year, saying in his review that Avowed "marks a significant step up for Obsidian compared to The Outer Worlds."
And soon we'll know just how significant it is with direct comparison to Obsidian's next game, The Outer Worlds 2, which is due to release on June 8, 2025.
