Zacian counters, weakness, and best moveset in Pokmon Go
Zacian, the Legendary wolf from the Galar region, debuted in Pokmon Go in August 2021.Like fellow Sword and Shield legendary Zamazenta, Zacian notably has two different forms. Its plain Hero of Many Battles version is only fairy-type, whereas it gains a steel-typing with its Crowned Sword form. The Crowned Sword version of Zacian is not available in Pokmon Go yet, so this guide will only provide information on its Hero of Many Battles form until it gets added to the game. This Pokmon Go guide explains Zacians weakness and the best counters as it returns as part of the Max Out Finale event, which runs from Nov. 27 to Dec. 1, 2024.Zacian weaknessIn its Hero of Many Battles form, Zacian is a pure Fairy-type Pokmon, which means its weak against poison and steel-type moves. Focus on these when building a team.On the flip side, Zacian is resistant to bug, dark, dragon, and fighting-type moves. It takes reduced damage from these types, so youll want to avoid using them in battle.Zacian best countersHere are some of the best counters you can use against Zacian in Pokmon Go:Dusk Forme Necrozma with Metal Claw and Sunsteel StrikeDialga with Metal Claw and Iron HeadNihilego with Poison Jab and Sludge BombGenesect with Metal Claw and Magnet BombMetagross with Bullet Punch and Meteor MashExcadrill with Metal Claw and Iron HeadRoserade with Poison Jab and Sludge BombLucario with Bullet Punch and Flash CannonIf you have enough Mega Energy, you can also use Mega Gengar with Lick or Shadow Ball paired with Sludge Bomb. Mega Beedrill with Poison Jab and Sludge Bomb will also do quite a bit of damage, as will Mega Aggron with Iron Tail and Heavy Slam.Ideally for the most damage, youll also want the weather to be snowy or cloudy, since this will give you weather boost for steel-type moves and fairy-type moves respectively.Zacian best movesetFor raids and gyms, Zacians best moveset is Snarl and Play Rough. Although this legendary Pokmon sadly lacks a fairy-type fast move, it can still be a very effective fairy-type attacker. Thanks to Snarl, it can generate energy fast enough to unleash the powerful Play Rough fairly frequently.Zacian also holds a place in the Master League meta, where it can take out a range of strong opponents including Zekrom, Dragonite, and even Complete Forme Zygarde. Youll want to run Snarl with Close Combat and Play Rough to provide wide coverage. It will also need to be powered up as high as possible with XL Candy. Is Zacian shiny in Pokmon Go?Shiny Zacian is available to encounter in Pokmon Go. This rare variant made its long-awaited debut during the Legendary Heroes event in September 2024.Just like all shiny Pokmon, the chances of finding a shiny Zacian are very slim. Theres no way to boost your odds its simply a case of taking part in as many raids as you can and hoping for the best. Good luck!

The Transparent Brutalist Speaker Gives Home Audio an Industrial Edge
Swedish audio brand Transparent has unveiled its latest design, the Brutalist Speaker a statement piece designed to redefine home audio while paying homage to the iconic architectural style of Brutalism. Merging cutting-edge technology with a sculptural design, this new offering is as much an artistic centerpiece as it is a high-performance audio device.Inspired by the Brutalist movement that emerged in the United Kingdom during the 1950s, the Brutalist Speaker draws heavily on the architectural styles core principles: geometric simplicity, expressive forms, and the use of industrial materials. True to this ethos, the speakers enclosure, which also enhances acoustical properties, is crafted from 70% post-consumer recycled aluminum, blending sustainability with a rugged aesthetic. Transparent Creative Director Per Brickstad describes the project as an intersection of architecture and sound. It is exciting to bring this legendary architectural style into peoples homes, and to bring the worlds of architecture and design closer together, he shares. While the Brutalist Speaker looks more like an art piece than an actual speaker, its audio engineering is equally remarkable. Designed for exceptional sound reproduction, it features two 3-inch tweeters positioned at a 90-degree angle to maximize high-frequency sound dispersion. A bass reflex design delivers powerful, resonant low frequencies while maintaining clarity and balance, while an 18-liter acoustic volume enhances audio depth and scale, particularly in larger spaces. The speakers unique configuration also leverages room acoustics. When placed in a corner, the sound reflects off adjacent walls, creating an immersive soundstage that envelops the listener.Transparents new speaker is as advanced in its functionality as it is in its design. A dedicated compartment for wireless modules comes pre-installed with the WiiM Mini, a Wi-Fi music streamer that enables seamless playback from streaming platforms like Spotify, Tidal, and Amazon Music. The WiiM Mini also supports AirPlay 2 and Amazon Alexa, allowing integration with smart home ecosystems. The designs connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, and support for Hi-Res audio up to 192kHz and 24-bit.Founded in Stockholm in 2012, Transparent has continuously challenged conventional tech industry practices, emphasizing longevity, modularity, and design innovation. The Brutalist Speaker exemplifies this philosophy, combining aesthetic sophistication with technical simplicity. Per Brickstad reflects on the brands mission: We believe that audio objects can be aesthetically striking, technically advanced, but yet simple to use. This speaker exemplifies that vision.Transparents Brutalist Speaker is available for purchase for $4,000 through Transparents website at transpa.rent.

Shake Things Up With East Fork + Craighills Mescola Cocktail Set
East Fork, the North Carolina-based maker of artfully crafted pottery and homewares, has long been the darling of dinner parties and tablescapes, but now its set to entertain your guests before the party even begins. Teaming up with Brooklyns Craighill, a design and manufacturing brand known for its clever, design-forward objects, East Fork has unveiled the Craighill x East Fork Mescola Cocktail Set, a trio of bar tools ready to elevate your home bar. Featuring a Shaker, Cocktail Spoon, and Jigger, this thoughtfully crafted set has everything you need to mix up cocktails for the holidays and beyond, with a design so good your guests will ask for it by name before their second round. This collaboration has been years in the making, dating back to 2018 when the two brands first connected at a Field & Supply fair in upstate New York. Both shared an affinity for creating timeless, well-crafted objects, so a collaboration felt inevitable. But, they didnt want to rush it. Over the years, we explored the idea of creating something together that customers cant stop reaching for a true mark of success for any designer or maker, shares Alex Matisse, East Forks CEO and Founder. Years of brainstorming lead them to develop the Mescola Cocktail Set, a perfect marriage of East Forks organic, ceramic-inspired design language and Craighills precision-engineered approach to metalwork. Each piece in the set is designed to perform and impress. The Mescola Cocktail Shaker stands out with a rare, no-drip spout and a stunning dip finish details that make it look as beautiful as it is functional. Creating a shaker that incorporated a spout was a challenge I felt strongly about, even though its a feature rarely seen in contemporary designs, Hunter Craighill, Founder of Craighill, shares. Alexs insights into spout design, drawn from his pottery expertise, were invaluable as we worked through various iterations to achieve the right balance. That attention to detail extended to every part of process, with over 40 stamping tools created to bring the set to life an exemplary testament to both brands intense commitment to quality and precision. The Cocktail Spoon and Jigger are equally elegant, borrowing ergonomic cues from East Forks beloved pottery to deliver tools that feel as good in hand as they do on a bar cart. While the set boasts pro-level features, its made to be approachable. [The shaker] needed to function as effortlessly as a Boston shaker but without the intimidation factor for at-home enthusiasts. The collaboration with Craighill allowed us to refine every detail and achieve something truly special, Matisse explains. Craighill also adds: This collaboration allowed us to combine our unique skills, resulting in a product that neither of us could have envisioned on our own something both functional and celebratory. Well cheers to that!Whether youre shaking up martinis or muddling mocktails, the Craighill x East Fork Mescola Cocktail Set promises to make your next happy hour as delightful as the set itself. To add the Craighill x East Fork Mescola Cocktail Set to your loved ones bar cart (or your own!), visit eastfork.com.This post contains affiliate links, so if you make a purchase from an affiliate link, we earn a commission. My Favorite Party Speaker Is $200 Off for Black Friday
We may earn a commission from links on this page. Deal pricing and availability subject to change after time of publication. If you're waiting until Friday, Nov. 29, to start your Black Friday shopping, you're cutting yourself short (and likely stressing yourself out). There are many early Black Friday sales and deals on tech products already at record-low prices from retailers like Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Home Depot. If you haven't splurged on that one big ticket item yet and are still looking for something worth your hard-earned money, let me tell you why the JBL PartyBox Stage 320 might be it. To start, it's down to the lowest price it has been since Prime Day, according to price-checking tools. You can get it for $399.95 (originally $599.95). And also, it's incredibly fun. If you don't believe me, check out my review. JBL PartyBox Stage 320 $399.95 at Amazon $599.95 Save $200.00 Get Deal Get Deal $399.95 at Amazon $599.95 Save $200.00 JBL has been working on the PartyBox Stage speaker for years and it has reached a point where it sets the standard for what a party speaker should be. I haven't seen another speaker that can reach 100 decibels of sound around its price point (much less with its current discount). It has a replaceable battery that lasts up to 18 hours at 50% volume, you can play it with just the power cord (without the battery), is rated IPX4 (splashproof), and you can connect up to two microphones or one microphone and one instrument, but the app is what takes it to another level. The JBL app lets you control the music and the microphone's EQ, customize what the buttons on the panel of the speaker do, and control the lights and media. But one of the most unique features I've seen is the "Effect Lab," which essentially lets you mess with your music with some basic DJ functions in real time. I've spent too many hours messing around with my favorite songs and letting friends live their DJ fantasies at my house parties. If you're looking for a speaker for karaoke (with virtually no mic feedback), poolside lounging, or tailgate parties, consider the PartyBox Stage 320 as your Prime Day splurge. Amazon Japan hit with a raid over antitrust concerns
Japan's Fair Trade Commission has conducted a raid on Amazon over antitrust concerns. "There is a suspicion that Amazon Japan is forcing sellers to cut prices in an irrational way," an unnamed source told Reuters.Amazon Japan received an on-site inspection by the regulator today to explore whether the retailer gives better product placement in search results to sellers who offer lower prices. Additional reporting in The Japan Times suggested that this inquiry is focused on Amazon's Buy Box program, which puts recommended items more prominently in front of online shoppers. The publication said that in addition to demanding "competitive pricing," sellers were allegedly required to use Amazon's in-house services, such as those for logistics and payment collection, to qualify for Buy Box placement. The Japanese FTC has not released an official statement about the inquiry. Amazon Japan's comment to Engadget on the situation states, "We are cooperating fully with the authorities."Amazon has also been questioned about anti-competitive behavior around the world. Stateside, both the Fair Trade Commission and the Attorney General of Washington DC have raised similar concerns about Amazon's practices. The company is also expected to face an antitrust investigation in the European Union next year.Update, November 26, 2024, 6:17PM ET: Updated to add comment from Amazon Japan. This article originally appeared on Engadget at https://www.engadget.com/big-tech/amazon-japan-hit-with-a-raid-over-antitrust-concerns-191558080.html?src=rss

ExpressVPN Black Friday deal: Get up to 61 percent off a 30-month plan
In addition to all of the gadgets and gear you can find on sale during Black Friday, there are also a number of service and subscription deals you can get, too. VPNs are included in this, and theres a good deal on one of our favorites right now. ExpressVPNs Black Friday deal gives US-based customers up to 61 percent off various plans. The one-year plan, which includes four extra months, costs $6.25 per month, billed at a total of $100, and the 2-year plan (actually 30 months in total) costs just $4.99 per month, billed at a total of $150. Those are much better rates than the $12.95-per-month rate youd pay regularly. Engadget deemed ExpressVPN the best for streaming services, frequent travel and gaming. Its biggest drawback is generally considered to be the price higher than most rivals in the space so this is a great time to get it at a discount. (There's a 7-day trial period and a 30-day money back guarantee, so you can make sure it meets your needs before committing.) Since we conducted our review, ExpressVPN has added some additional features making it more of a full-service suite, including a password manager and ad blocker. More recently, it's added ID alerts (with a $1 million identity theft insurance package), as well as a data removal service (to counteract the preponderance of online data brokers). Some notable caveats: The data removal service is only available on the 30-month plan, and the ID alerts, insurance and data removal features are only applicable to subscribers in the US. Furthermore, these discounts are applicable only to new ExpressVPN customers. And the service will automatically renew at the standard rate after the initial discount period expires. It goes without saying that ExpressVPN is compatible with nearly all major operating systems, with support for connecting 8 devices at a time. And its no-logs policy means your online activity is as anonymous as can be. If you're looking for a dependable VPN that now has a bevy of additional privacy features, ExpressVPN is worth checking out. But don't delay: This offer is only good through December 6. Check out all of the latest Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals here. This article originally appeared on Engadget at https://www.engadget.com/deals/expressvpn-black-friday-deal-get-up-to-61-percent-off-a-30-month-plan-120441157.html?src=rss
