(You could probably make do with 24GB but who does that?) Speaking to PCGamer, game director Guangyun Chen promised that a new feature is coming to remedy this issue.Marvel Rivals RAM usage will be fixedTalking to the outlet at GDC 2025, Chen explained that the superhero game will be introducing an experimental feature to the game that should fix the absurdly high memory issues.On PC, we realize that [optimization] is a big problem, especially for the memory consumption, the game director said. This new hard requirement comes despite no change to the minimum system requirements on the games Steam page.However, as relayed by the outlet, HD2 now requires AVX2 support to run thanks to recent optimisations. The problem with this is that it has resulted in some PC players no longer being able to play the game due to old CPUs.Per Eurogamer, AVX2 (or Advanced Vector Extensions) essentially allows for fast and efficient CPU usage and was first supported by Intel in 2013 CPUs released prior to this wont have AVX2 and therefore will no longer be able to run Helldivers 2.Arrowhead has not responded to this debacle on Discord or any other platform as of writing. However, some impacted players are understandably miffed due to having paid a premium price to play a game that now no longer works.While Arrowhead hasnt responded to players, Discord moderator, Birby, has in messages relayed by Eurogamer. These messages include the moderator saying that processor does not support AVX2, which is now a hard minimum requirement for processors. Unfortunately, you will require a system upgrade.Another message from the moderator exemplified how heated some discontent has become. (Every Bethesda game has a mod for this.) However, it turns out that InZoi allows players to kill children, but only if they run them over in a high-speed vehicle.InZoi lets players drive over childrenIn InZoi, players can get in a car and drive across the game world in an awesome mechanic that separates the game from The Sims. When driving, players can accidentally, or purposefully, hit other civilians which causes them to ragdoll and die.In a Reddit thread, players enjoying the early access game found that they can run into a child and ping them across the map. Just like any other character, this results in the child dying, which seems unintentional.Part of early access is trying to break the game, the player said. This is how you report bugs, issues, etc. One of the issues I found is that you can drive into the elementary school and run over.. Unalive the children.. They might want to change this as the game is launching with a T rating.It does appear that being able to hit children with a car is a bug, or an unintended feature. With the game hoping to keep the same T for Teen badge as The Sims, this feature would need to be removed to keep that age rating.Nevertheless, some players (not naming names) can definitely see the humour in this. While a year would mean early access ending around late-March 2026, the developer says the roadmap may change depending on feedback and the games direction.Hopefully it does come to consoles as early as possible as the game looks amazing. While the third game is in development at the studio, its going to be a long while until we hear anything about it.Speaking to VGC at GDC (thats very funny to say), Nightdive director of business development Larry Kuperman claimed the third game is in a very complicated situation, but remains hopeful that fans will hear more about it potentially within a year.When asked for an update on the games release schedule, Kupperman said: The situation around System Shock 3 is very complicated. [I dont have an update] as yet, not as yet. I dont know when its going to clarify, but it could potentially be within a year. It could be, or it could take longer. That said, what I can say is that we have visions of what we can do within what we control.Alongside the update on System Shock 3, Kupperman revealed that Nightdive could also do a full-on remake of the second game. While a remaster is currently slated to come out in just a short while for PC and console, he claims theres nothing stopping them from also remaking the game. (After all, thats what they did for the original.)Youre going to see a remaster of System Shock 2, he said. Ive been asked twice earlier today why we didnt do a remake, and I said, are you somehow under the impression that because we do a remaster that we wont be able to do a remake in the future? Epic Games released a teaser video for it, revealing its design and the release date. This will be the third map for the game mode and will likely rotate with the other two. This delivered many changes, but it also occurred in a couple of bugs. One of these bugs includes a secret massive buff to one of the coolest support weapons in the game, meanwhile, the other bug has Helldivers 2 fans upset as it has ruined an infamous weapon yet again.Helldivers 2 bug nerfs infamous weaponIn the Helldivers 2 update 01.002.201 patch notes, Arrowhead listed the following fix:Fixed an issue where shrapnel from surface-hits was forced in a roughly south-west direction. Shrapnel should now properly fly out in a 180-ish arc in the direction of the surface hitFollowing this change, fans have lamented a pretty hard nerf to the Eruptor. As pointed out by OP No_Jaguar_2570, the shrapnel now flies back in a 180 degree arc. Away from the thing you just shot, which means its much more likely to hit you or your teammates, and its much less likely to hit the bad guys.In addition, the OP reports that now it cant even oneshot Hive Guards with a headshot, and It no longer reliably pops spewers, either.There are several posts unhappy with the update from Arrowhead. Rather than a nerf, it appears to be a pretty significant bug as it goes against what Arrowhead stated they fixed in the patch notes.Still, although it is a bug, a lot of fans are wishing Arrowhead would have just left the weapon alone. The Eruptor is a weapon that has received numerous balance changes in the past, and its one of the most infamous weapons in HD2 for receiving terrible changes.Hopefully this bug gets fixed in a new update soon.
